Lounge at a Fresh Mill House in Walkable Downtown Carrboro

Take it easy on the swing seat on the wraparound porch at a luminous 2 bedroom abode in downtown Carrboro. A soothing mocha color palette blends with cool mint, a light wood kitchen, and quartz countertops to create a cozy, contemporary space. Your private entrance to this Carrboro Mill House is the front door on the wrap-around porch, steps from two dedicated parking spaces. Enjoy the weather and the outdoors sitting on the porch. Walk inside to a small downstairs foyer with a coat rack and space for your shoes. The washer/dryer is also downstairs to keep the noise away from the living area. Walk upstairs into the living and kitchen area with all new furniture and fixtures. You’ll notice that there is no door at the top of the stairs, which is one example of why we do not accept young children. The living area seats five comfortably, however only four may sleep at Stone’s Throw. Read, nap, work, watch cable or Apple TV (if you are so equipped) in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped, with marble countertops and smaller European appliances. Basic spices and other essentials are stocked. The shower/bath is large enough for a relaxing soak, and has a large shower head. Press the small square outline on the lower right side of the mirror and the white backlight turns on, again and the blue light turns on, as shown in the picture. The master bedroom is equipped with a king sized bed, reading lights, USB ports on both nightstands, and a walk in closet. The bed is better than hotel luxury. The second bedroom has a queen bed, a small desk and storage area, also with reading lights and USB ports. Full access to the apartment and porch. We have lived in the area for many years, and are happy to answer your questions! We want you to enjoy your stay and can point you in the right direction. Check-in is self-service making it flexible for you. This quiet residential road is a Stone's Throw from Open Eye Cafe and 1 block south of Main Street and Old Greensboro, Carrboro's city center. Ideally located, restaurants, bars, groceries, pharmacies, the Cat's Cradle and Weaver Street Market are within a two block stroll of Stone's Throw. Walk to the Saturday Farmer's Market, food trucks, casual and fine dining. Connect to the bike path one block away. Catch a free city bus just steps from the front porch. Depending upon your plans, you may or may not need a car. Walking, biking and the free bus system are how a lot of locals get around in Carrboro and downtown Chapel Hill. Lyft and Uber are readily available. You have two reserved parking spaces, which is a definite plus in this area. There are stairs from the downstairs foyer to the full apartment. If you are unsure on stairs, please note that the treads may feel short and the rise may feel steep.

University Retreat

STUDIO apartment (650 square feet) in quiet neighborhood 4 miles from UNC campus and hospital. Apartment is in back of house on a small creek surrounded by trees. Posturepedic queen sized bed, a full sized sofa bed, WiFi, television with basic cable, full sized bathroom, full sized refrigerator, electric stove and range, access to shared laundry room, bamboo flooring, ample closet space. The STUDIO is a cozy small space , comfortable for most people, Window AC and space heater, central heat/AC.

Work remotely surrounded by art and nature. Enjoy art galleries, sculpture garden and nature trails. The Artist's Garret is a 1BR furnished apartment just 8 miles south of Chapel Hill. Artist Forrest Greenslade’s studio is just below. The Greenslade home is behind the studio and Garret. They are always around to see to guests needs and comfort. It's on a highway, behind a privacy fence and trees so the traffic noise is muted. Great for college games, the hospital, visiting students! I turned my house into a duplex, by turning a very 70s addition into a private, cozy, and charming space. There's a kitchenette, a dining area, and a sitting area, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The location would be ideal for someone who needs quick access to Duke Regional Hospital (4 minutes away) or downtown (6 minutes), or someone who wants to keep up a running habit (the greenway is nearby). A taqueria, a grocery store, and a coffee shop are within walking distance.

Right in the Heart of Downtown Carrboro

Come stay at the best place in town! Literally located right in downtown, you'll be less than a 2 minute walk from all of the restaurants, bars, shops, and anything else you could want in downtown Carrboro. This apartment is an extremely spacious one bedroom with unique touches and amazing natural light. (Being in the middle of downtown has countless perks, but can some with additional street noise. Not to worry, we do supply a sound machine and earplugs.)
