Amazing!! Great location in a beautiful place. Stunning stay. It was so amazing to hear the sounds of the jungle while being in the villa. Nice bathroom and comfortable bed. Few ants located inside. Would 1000% recommend staying here!

Muy organizado, limpio, con las comodidades necesarias para estadías cortas, es igual como en las fotos, anfitriones muy amables, el único pero son los insectos por las noches, pero con la luz prendida no se acercan tanto.. utilizar mucho repelente y espirales para espantar a los mosquitos, solo eso.. experiencia agradable.

We had an unforgettable stay at CocoVivo. It’s wild and beautiful - not polished, just pure nature. Our hut over the water was simple, clean, and eco-friendly, with a ‘ pipi only’ loo and solar power - compost loo elsewhere, for obvious reasons! I love that it started as part of a reforestation project, the connection to the land really comes through. They helped coordinate a 30-min boat taxi from Bocas Town, which made things easy. Wi-Fi was surprisingly good! Bring strong repellent - the sandflies are persistent. We walked the ‘sloth loop’ often - saw sloths (including babies!) and poison dart frogs. The extended walk, you should be prepared for more rugged terrain. Snorkelling was beautiful, and night snorkelling with bioluminescence felt like swimming through stars. The food was incredible - we requested vegetarian - it was fresh, full of flavour, and some of the best we’ve had! We loved the nature, and the way of life. What an absolutely beautiful place to stay! This house is tucked in the jungle with loads of wildlife all around. There are other houses on the property, but they have preserved the gardens and jungle in such a fabulous way that you can’t even see any of the other houses. Felt super private. The plunge pool was absolutely delightful after we returned to the house. There are so many things close by, we especially love La Leyenda pizza restaurant. Which is just a short ride down the street in Playa Chiquita. Tine got back to me very quickly after each text I sent her. We will definitely stay here again!

Our adult family of four stayed in both the mango house and the jungle house. Both of these places are fabulous- beautiful jungle surroundings, areas to hang out and observe the beauty, all kinds of fruit to try, an on-site restaurant (try the jackfruit stew!), comfortable beds. The fact that this area has been mindfully reforested was what attracted us to this stay but the experience overall was amazing. We highly recommend!

We loved it here! Everything was super clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool is gorgeous. The host is lovely and super communicative, made it feel like we were visiting a friend. And the location is absolutely unbeatable! Falling asleep up in the trees, away from the crowds and volume of the town, but only a 4 minute walk from everything you could need. We can't wait to come back!

Wir waren für zwei nächste im April bei Jan. Es war der reinste Wahnsinn- mitten im Dschungel, ohne Fenster und nur mit einem Moskitonetz schlafen ist was anderes. Man darf keine Angst vor den Tieren haben und man muss versuchen sich darauf einzulassen ☺️. Auch die kleine Angst nach der ersten Nacht ( da die Affen schon ziemlich nah waren) hat Jan uns genommen und vieles über die Natur und Tiere erzählt. Man kann sogar Dschungel Touren direkt mit ihm unternehmen. Für den Weg zur Unterkunft sollte man jedoch festes Schuhwerk bzw. bei Regen mit Profil dabei haben oder man zieht die vor Ort Gummi Stiefel an wie ich :) Vielen Dank an Jan und seine Familie- es war ein Abenteuer welches wir nie wieder vergessen werden!

Where to start?! Yes the place is amazing of course but you can’t beat a host that is ACTUALLY a h o s t. I’ve stayed at many airbnbs and none of the hosts were as hospitable as David was! We didn’t realize how secluded the house actually was and wasn’t able to obtain our rental car reservation… we were stuck to relying on “taxis” to get to and from things… after trying for literal hours to no avail… David called on one of his buddies to help us. If it wasn’t for David and his friends help we would’ve been stuck up there with no way to enjoy this country! David’s beautiful home and the sounds of the howler monkeys made my birthday spectacular. Just the peace I’ve been needing. I forgot I had mentioned to David that this was a birthday trip and he made sure to get me a birthday cake when I arrived again… unbelievably hospitable! Couldn’t thank him enough! Thanks again David we will be back and can’t wait to be in contact again!

L’emplacement est bien situé pour aller visiter la forêt nuageuse, les tours nocturnes et autres activités de Monteverde. Nous avons trouvé facilement l’emplacement en mettant sur Waze Hotel Cala lodge et ensuite en suivant les instructions fournies ( avec photos). À partir de l’hébergement, nous pouvions voir une famille de Coati qui se promène dans les arbres aux alentours et sur le toit. Nous avons vu un Motmot sur une branche près du balcon arrière. Les lits sont très confortable, la literie également, il y a de l’eau chaude et nous n’avons rien manqué en équipement.

Beautiful location and we're very happy that we booked this stay. We had a vacation booked at a resort in Amber Cove and Ryan was great in picking us up (extra charge, but great convenience), giving us a tour guide style ride to the location, and then showing us around the property. The location is beautiful, great views, and a great experience to learn about cacao and the chocolate making process. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a safe experience in the local culture and mountains. Note: While everything is clean and safe, this is still a farm and some of the amenities are of the more rustic experience. The price is well worth it, but it is not a luxury hotel.

We find right at home. The place is small, but definitely cozy. Peaceful surroundings & in nature.

Very cool spot with excellent views and lots of wildlife - saw many birds and an anteater on the first day! Place was cozy and clean. All the way up a tall rocky hill, so make sure to be prepared for driving - and if you are planning on walking to town like we did, make sure to take into account walking back up the hill. Truly loved the place and would recommend it in a second, but what made it EXTRA unique is how amazing of a host Andres is! Anything you need or had question about he would respond quickly and with a wealth of information. Really added to the stay!

Had such an amazing stay, the dome was absolutely beautiful, spotless, and extremely clean! The hosts were super friendly and easy to contact. We arrived later, so the self check-in was perfect for us. The bed was comfy and there were lots of extra blankets, which was nice since it was a little bit cooler at nighttime while we were there. Also, the space and linen smelt so fresh, everything seemed brand new like we were the first people to have every stayed there! Defintiely recommend!!!

Large, beautiful property with lots of charm and all of the amenities. It's the jungle and the buildings are simple, so prepare to contend with a few ( harmless ) bugs in the outdoor kitchen and in the rooms. Road to property is a bit long, narrow and rough. Internet was a bit spotty ( reportedly due to construction nearby ) but cell reception was good. Overall met my expectations and was a joy. Thanks Hiram!

Si buscas una experiencia y dormir en un lugar fuera de lo normal . Te recomiendo que vayas al Rancho. Romana y su familia te van hacer sentir como en tu casa. La experiencia de dormir entre los árboles y montaña es impagable . La experiencia fue hermosa, La Paz durante el día y la noche, el contacto con la naturaleza. a mi me tocaron noches lluviosas que hicieron de mi descanso algo hermoso y único . sin dudas me volvería a hospedar

We absolutely loved staying at this gem of a home! It really felt like a “get away” vacation: surrounded by the natural beauty of Costa Rica, trees, wildlife, views of the ocean… Pura Vida! I was joined by my husband and three kids ages 6, 7, and 9. We were all able to disconnect and enjoy the start of an unforgettable vacation. We all loved going on the porch to search for monkeys, relax in the pool after a day of adventuring, and having access to a washer/dryer was such a great perk after all of the activities. Certainly looking forward to staying here again.

Had a wonderful time in the jungle cabin. Beautiful and relaxing. Magical experience. Lovely walks. Wilma was away, but we met Harm. Charming and full of energy, clearly passionate about their farm and project. Great service from Idalia. Served tasty breakfast and evening meals, and sorted our laundry, all very reasonable. Farm dogs were a delight, too, and joined us on our walks. Would love to visit again!

Die Unterkunft war wirklich toll. Sehr schön und ruhig gelegen. Wir konnten zahlreiche Vögel von der Terrasse aus beobachten. Catherine war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns gute Tipps gegeben. Der selbstgemachte Planteur war wirklich sehr sehr gut! Vielen Dank, Catherine!

Nice secluded spot up on the mountain, good location if you’re looking for a true off grid experience. Very accurate to the listing, and the message sent of warnings of it being a jungle experience with bugs and a hike to get to. Definitely wouldn’t recommend trying to lug a suitcase or a lot of goods up to the treehouse. We did a river hike from the base camp with waterfalls and swimming pools that was the highlight of our two week trip. It’s an interesting place you’d be hard pressed to match elsewhere. Only negatives aren’t on the host or the property, if members of your group struggle with terrain they may have difficulty reaching the house. A decent 4x4 is also required to climb the hill as others have noted. We did see monkeys, snakes, and a ton of different birds. I would recommend to any adventure seekers.

Zeer mooie boomhut midden in het groen met prachtig uitzicht en buitendouche. Jano reageerde altijd snel en vriendelijk. De dag beginnen in de buiten gym was een unieke ervaring, zo mooi! Houd rekening met waakhonden van de buren die ook 's nachts hun werk doen.. Verder niets aan te merken
