If you enjoy a beautiful view, a peaceful and secluded rural setting and being surrounded by animals (wild and domestic) then this is the place for you! Black Rock Stables was built as an equestrian facility; however, the focus is now on providing small scale dog/cat boarding and the breeding of healthy and happy Scottish terriers. We now have faster internet! Beautiful space overlooks the beach and ocean (where the Atlantic flows into the Bras D'or Lakes). Bright, spacious, open concept living space with 10-foot ceilings. Main level bedroom and 2nd level loft, which has three single beds and half bath. The loft is very spacious and has ample headspace. Surround deck with glass. Excellent location close to amenities and festivals. Great place to get away from it all ..peaceful. The private beach is a hidden gem.

MacLeod Cove: secluded cottage with private shore

MacLeod Cove is a 4-bedroom cottage on the Bras d'Or, Cape Breton's beautiful inland sea. Enjoy ocean views and private cove, within 25 minutes drive of Baddeck, North Sydney (Newfoundland ferry terminal), and the Cabot Trail. Smoking and fires of any kind are not permitted anywhere on the property. The cottage is very private, surrounded by forest and sea. We upgraded our wifi to high speed fiber in 2026. Relax with the family at this peaceful home away from home in scenic Big Bras d'Or. We are only 15 minutes to North Sydney and the Newfoundland Ferry, 30 minutes to Sydney, 20 minutes to the Englishtown ferry and 30 minutes to Baddeck. This cottage is quaintly tucked in the woods but only a ten minute walk to the shore and a beautiful sandy beach. We are also a 5 minutes stroll to the Bird Island Boat Tours. Note: Only small non shedding dogs due to allergies.
