Caledonian Canal: soggiorni in alloggi sulla spiaggia

Thank you Frances! It was wonderful staying with you. We were only here for one night, but in that time we really enjoyed it. Frances was very helpful and helped us get from Port Appin to the accommodation, which is not a given. We would recommend anyone to come here. For those who want to experience Scotland's nature away from the tourist crowds, this is the place to be.

Wonderful cottage with some great history to it. When I finally sat down at the water front and had a glass of wine I really gave in to how beautiful and wonderful this place is. Great view of the mountains and so many neat little touches to the property. The kids loved looking for sea glass and watching the tides come in and out. The games cupboard was a huge hit with the kids as well as the bunk beds with a full shelf of books. Such a great place to really get a good feel for the area and the history.

Pictures of the view from the main living room/dining room was what drew me to the property and the reality did not disappoint. The house was very homely, comfortable and Isabella was friendly and accommodating. I especially appreciated that there was plenty of comfortable seating for the number of people the house can accommodate to sleep. The dishwasher did not work during our visit which was an inconvenience as we were a large family group who cooked regularly during our visit, so clearing up took significantly more time than we would have liked, but once Isabella was made aware, she did not hesitate to get it seen to as soon as possible. Unfortunately it could not be repaired during our visit but I cannot fault Isabella's reponse to the situation, it was just unfortunate. I would definitely recommend the property; it is clear a lot of thought has gone into the property to make it as comfortable as possible for guest. Thank you.

John was a fantastic host, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location or property. The views were outstanding and we could have easily just gone for those but the house was plenty big enough for 8 adults and 3 children, they didn’t want to leave. It was very clean with clear instructions. We would highly recommend John and his property!

Beautiful location perfect for getting off grid away from a hectic lifestyle or away from work. If you are active and outdoorsy it makes a brilliant base camp due to its location as long as your activities aren’t too dirty as you will be limited on the cleaning and storage available. The Bothy is extremely close to the water chilling on a paddle board or open water swimming is your thing just don’t venture out to far as there is plenty of boat travel including ferry’s. On 2 different networks me and my partner had limited signal and there is no access to WiFi so I would advise to pack accordingly if you usually rely on this for entertainment in the evening.

La caravane de Jackie est située dans le jardin de sa maison, face à la mer, dans l'adorable village d'Arisaig. C'est une super expérience de passer quelques nuits dans cette mignonne caravane au grand lit confortable. 2 très bons restaurants juste à côté et un supermarché ouvert jusqu'à 21h. Nous avons dîner dans la caravane un soir qui est très bien équipée. La douche & les toilettes, très propres, sont situées dans un petit bâtiment juste à côté. Jackie nous attendait derrière sa fenêtre pour nous accueillir (à quelques minutes à pied de la gare ferroviaire d'Arisaig, trajet en train depuis Glasgow incroyabe ! Superbes vues, viaduc du Poudlard Express, etc.) et a été d'une grande aide au départ pour nous aider suite à l'annulation de notre ferry. Merci à elle ! Je recommande ce logement pour une expérience originale dans le joli village d'Arisaig, loin du tourisme de masse de Fort William & Mallaig.

It was a nice stay. We were traveling with a baby and they prepared a baby cot for us, very sweet. The window is directly facing the water, it’s beautiful to look out.

Lovely setting and very comfortable lodgings. The view was wonderful and easy stroll down to the beach, my kiddos loved spending time there even more than the hikes I made them go on ha! Would stay here again!

My wife and our 2 little boys stayed at Gemma’s place for 3 nights. Instructions were great, check-in was easy, the place was spotless and within 50m walk of the beach. Helpfully, all of the things that you need for a short stay but don’t wish to buy especially were also there (eg buckets and spades, dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, olive oil, soap, tea coffee etc) a great stay - thank you!

We enjoy this cottage so much that this is the 3rd time we have been. The perfect place to relax.

We had a wonderful stay at Jennifer’s caravan. The place was spotless, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the area. Jennifer was a fantastic host—friendly, responsive, and always happy to help. Communication was excellent from start to finish. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely book again in the future!

A beautifully kitted out caravan which was spotless throughout. Lots of local info, right on the beach. All information was sent in advance and any additional questions were answered quickly. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back again next year!

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich genial und hält was sie verspricht! Die komplette Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit, sowie die wunderschöne Natur der Insel machten diesen Aufenthalt zu einem tollen Erlebnis! Das Haus ist mit einer großen Küche und Wohnzimmer ausgestattet, und es fehlt an nichts. Clare und Mike sind hervorragende Gastgeber und ich habe mich von der ersten Sekunde gut aufgenommen und wohlgefühlt. ich kann jedem der Lismore besuchen will, es nur wärmstens ans Herz zu legen hier vorbeizukommen!!!

Sarah was a fantastic host and really friendly. She kindly delivered new garden furniture which was really appreciated given the lovely weather. A great caravan with everything you need.

Lovely stay at Shirley’s lodge. Caravan was really clean, beds super comfy and lots of games was a bonus. Great to have the bath, washing machine and dishwasher. Place was spotless and loved the decor. One row back from the beach and huge bit of grass at the front for the kids. Great communication from Shirley and we all had a fab time

We were lucky to secure a last minute booking at Tanya’s caravan. It was as per the photos and description. Very well equipped (I can’t think of anything you would need that wasn’t there). A great plot - probably the best! You won’t go wrong here. We did not need Tanya during our stay but I am confident she would have responded very quickly as well as given recommendations etc. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home away from home. We will hopefully be back again in the future :-)

Wow, what an amazing place! The location and views are absolutely stunning and the house is so comfortable and well equipped. Lismore is such a tranquil and beautiful place. We can honestly say we have never felt so chilled and at home at any property we have rented. This was a last minute find but was genuinely worth it. Clear and concise directions to get to property and once there no need to get in your car again. Alasdair was very quick with answering queries about how to more than anything. Local shops and restaurants are on your doorstep so if you forget anything pop to local Co-op an approximate 10 minute walk. The beach is so sandy (yes that's a funny thing to say but important in the UK) - nice and clean and the locals are genuinely happy and engaging, must be something in the water as the locals all meet early morning for a swim. The house is great. Good size kitchen and living room, and the bedrooms were big. Bathrooms clean and well stocked with shower gel and shampoo and importantly toilet paper. Lounge has a log burner which is easy to use and a tv with good reception. A great experience to be re-enjoyed

Had an amazing restful time at Eilidh and Donald’s caravan. Fresh eggs and waking up to the lapping of water in the morning was amazing. Fire pit no hassle, sat round it both nights with dinner/drinks. Jess the cat was so cute. Much better value than a lot of b&bs and ‘shepherds huts’ in the highlands as had hot shower, toilet and gas cooker/fridge which made everything really convenient and comfortable (especially after a night of camping beforehand!) Would 100% recommend! PS. Definitely pick up everything you need from fort William first as there aren’t any shops nearby.

Fantastic place. Very cosy clean and warm. It was really nice watching all the lambs play in adjacent fields. Would definitely recommend this for a nice wee change from the usual type of accommodation

An incredibly beautiful location with amazing views down Loch Rannoch. The house itself is lovely. The kitchen is big and well equipped, and the dining area spacious. The two big fridges and freezers meant that you can stock up properly and avoid the shops. The living room, with wood burning stove, is super cosy. All the bedrooms are well appointed (the beds are very comfortable), and having two en suite bathrooms is great. The hotel is a really easy walk and the Wild Brownie pub has lovely food and very friendly staff. The delivery from Tescos worked exceptionally well too. The location is spectacular with lovely walks and exquisite drives. The drive to Aberfeldy is particularly magnificent (although icy currently). We had the happiest time over New Year with plenty of space to chill and play games and cook as a family. We are all keen to return.

What a lovely place! Surrounded by nature, it was the perfect spot to unwind and disconnect. The views from every window were stunning, and the peaceful setting made it easy to relax. The property itself was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Sarah was kind and responsive, making the whole experience smooth and welcoming. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and her warm hospitality really stood out. We’d love to return.
