I recently had the pleasure of staying in a charming little farmhouse, and it was an experience I won't soon forget. Nestled in the heart of the countryside, this quaint retreat offered a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance of the rustic decor, complete with cozy furnishings and delightful touches that made the space feel like home. The farmhouse was surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful landscapes, ideal for leisurely walks or simply soaking in the serene atmosphere. I loved the peaceful mornings spent sipping coffee on the porch while listening to the gentle sounds of nature. Overall, my time at the farmhouse was rejuvenating and delightful. Amy was great in helping my family make a transition to a new area and very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and shopping. She also helped with a family emergency we had while staying that was above and beyond expectations of any host. Would highly recommend for any length of stay and would stay again in future.

We really enjoyed the location being as close as it was to everything to do in Lake Charles as well as the feel of seclusion as you make your way around River Road to the house. Would definitely stay here again.

This was a great place to stay. The host was very responsive and willing to help with anything we needed. The area was quiet and the internet worked perfectly. There was plenty of space for a lot of people. This was a great spot in an area that doesn’t have many Airbnb’s.

One of the nicest Airbnb I have stayed at in Lakes Charles. Better than a hotel! Spacious and comfortable. Had everything you may need in the kitchen, washer & dryer, comfy beds and a great high pressure shower head! Right across the street from the hospital and Dunkin Donuts is within walking distance. :) Only complaint is in one of the bedrooms you are able to hear the next door neighbors walk around and talk in the bedroom that shares the same wall…if you are a light sleeper then bring earplugs. We will stay here again next time we are in the area.

I’d highly recommend the sanctuary to ANYONE. Whether you need a weekend get away for yourself, a weekend away with your significant other, or somewhere to bring the kids for a night or two. Ocean and Alyssa were great hosts and very tentative. They’ve created a beautiful property and I’m thankful they were willing to share it!

Shayla was a superb host! Very responsive. Any questions we had she answered right away. We had some travel issues getting there but she worked with us and got us taken care of and checked in quickly. When we first got there we had a few issues but Shayla jumped in quickly and resolved them all. The kids had a great time with all the games, they loved playing in the pool in the yard, and loved the projector for their movies. The light all around tue house was fun and cool as well. Will definitely visit again.

Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of amazing! From start to finish, the whole process was seamless, making it easy for me and my friends to focus on enjoying our bros’ trip. The place itself was fantastic—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect, putting us close to all the action while still offering a relaxing space to unwind. Whether we were exploring the area or just hanging out at the Airbnb, we had an incredible time. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable stay!

Cajun Cottage in the heart of downtown!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cajun cottage. It was very clean and spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. We enjoyed how close it was to many restaurants. The hosts were extremely responsive to any questions that we had m. overall, it was a great experience in this comfortable cozy home.

A very nice place to stay! We were touched by attentiveness to details, very clean spacious place, comfortable mattresses. It’s easy to understand that owners care about this place. I loved that they have everything for everyday life: snacks, tea/coffee, we even were treated with fresh farm eggs and biscuits for breakfast! Also there were nice bedding, everything needed in bathroom (women’s hygiene, towels, great toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner..). We loved that place and would definitely stay there again!

Great house with a very large amount of space for activities. The kitchens are fantastic for cooking for large groups. I would recommend Doc’s. Everything was perfect.

Southern Manor - Comfortable Country Setting

This is the absolute perfect getaway to unwind and relax, with pastures all around you and an abundance of wildlife 🐦‍⬛ It is beyond peaceful with no traffic noises to wake you at night, which was a blessing having my 1 year old with us! My favorite part was the fully stocked kitchen! I am an avid cook and baker, and I was delightfully surprised to see everything I needed to bake anything I wanted🙂 We will definitely make this our go to place when we are visiting Iowa or surrounding areas!
