Bridle Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Set next to Hartshay Brook and along a beautiful Bridle lane, amidst rolling countryside with stunning walks straight from the door. Lower Hartshay is a hidden gem, a tiny rural village in Derbyshire. The cottage is along a former tow path behind a picket fence. Inside it boasts a quirky layout with log burner,beams and a stone stairwell to the large kitchen. Enjoy the paddock to the front and seating terrace to the rear looking over the brook.

Quiet village getaway 20 mins from Alton Towers

This property was the old parish room which we have sympathetically given a make over. Lots of original features have been untouched. The photos do not do this property justice with its double height ceilings and huge log burner. A real hidden gem tucked away but close to everything. A great stay for those wanting a quiet couple of days or the thrills of Alton towers. Please note the sofabed is for under 15’ If you have 2 small children that don't mind sharing then we don't mind. Serene and calm, yet conveniently situated near EMA, Melbourne, Donington race track, and the Breedon Spa. This stylish house features three bedrooms, two en-suites, and one bathroom, along with a lovely outdoor area that includes a hot tub and seating. The property boasts two reception rooms; one is equipped with a large log burner, the other offers picturesque views of the countryside, featuring an eight-seater table and a sofa bed. Parking is available for a maximum of three vehicles.

Spend some time away in this modern, countryside bungalow. Ideal for families or small groups of friends! Close to both Burton Town Centre (15 minute drive) and Lichfield City Centre (20-25 minute drive). Perfect for festivals and events held at Catton Hall (only a 10 minute walk away) Owners live in the adjacent property and own a large but very friendly dog (who is kept in his own fenced-off area). The garden is a shared area between the bungalow and the owners.
