Burt Lake: soggiorni in cottage

A beautiful place right on the Bay. So peaceful and easy. With the screened in porch, back porch, and hot tub, there are lots of ways to enjoy the lake no matter the weather and temperature. The house was very comfortable and we loved having multiple fireplaces - very cozy for our late April visit.

I booked this beautiful home after my first reservation and host cancelled on me due to the storms. Well, I can say… we are so happy with our stay. It was exactly as described and even better than expected. April really is a one of a kind host, so good that I had to take notes for my own Air bnb adventure. She thought of everything! I’ve never had a better stocked kitchen. We always cook and make a big meal and we sure did not want for anything. We were even greeted with a local baked good and extra sheets and blankets for the dogs. These hosts were the best I’ve had in Michigan, if not the whole country. I’m thankful for people who truly consider someone’s stay and thinks of it all. Thank you again to the hosts. The Cabin was spotless and one of my favorite features was the deer lights.

We had a great time at Torch lake. Ryan was a great host - very responsive who left very good instructions, recommendations for restaurants things to do in the area. The home is very clean and well supplied. The pontoon is very nice.

I asked my 9, 8 & 5 year old about the best part of our stay, and they all agreed that the hot tub, fire pit for s’mores and the board games were the best part. I enjoyed having a quiet space to get homework done with a view of the water. This was the perfect get away for a family of 5! We enjoyed staying inside, cooking meals & enjoying the house itself. It is beautiful inside and out, exactly like the photos and had everything we needed for our stay. We can’t wait to come back during the summer time to go out on the lake!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay here. Such a beautiful property! It was quiet and serene. The inside was spacious but comfortable, we felt right at home! Since it was a little chilly when we went, I was still able to enjoy the views of the lake from the couch with a cup of coffee. Brenda is a great host, very responsive, provided clear instructions, and ensured we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Probably the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. John and his wife were kind and quick to respond to our questions. While they live on the property, we did not see them at all during our stay. The water front makes it extremely enjoyable and the lake is quiet. They checked in with us and always made sure we had everything we needed. We will absolutely be back to this rental, hopefully for longer next time!

This was our first repeat Airbnb experience, we enjoyed Laurie’s place that much! It’s peaceful and the lake is lovely, no matter the time of year. Close to Short’s brewing and Schuss mountain, not far from Boyne, it’s quiet but still well located to have a great up north adventure. It’s also well stocked with toys and books, which is a great plus for our family! And Laurie is super responsive and kind. We might stay a third time!

Absolutely beautiful area, and the house was perfect for my family and our dog! Squeaky clean, wonderfully well-kept, peaceful surroundings, and great location to reach the upper and lower peninsula. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful time in Charlevoix! The house was perfect for two people plus a dog! The backyard was amazing and private, and the location was perfect to walk downtown and through the neighborhood. Oksana was very helpful and friendly, we loved the fresh bread and eggs for breakfast, and recommendations of nearby places to go. We’re hoping to come back again. Great place!

This was such an amazing cottage! Everything is so well appointed and it is very comfortable. This cottage has anything you would need. The owner has thought of everything. The bed was very comfortable, wifi worked well, and the clean up instructions were clear and easy. We can't say enough great things about this cottage and host! One of the best vacations we have had. Fantastic experience! Quiet little cottage, close enough to stores and necessities if needed. Host was great at communicating. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Our car broke down on our way up North so we got to the house very late with no food or water because stores were closed and luckily this house had everything we needed and was so clean and cozy! We enjoyed every room and played lots of games and built a fire everyday. The guidebook was also so helpful! We enjoyed this house so much and would love to come back and stay at Darcy’s again. One of my favorite stays, thank you so much!!

We had an amazing family vacation at the “Beach House”. My family loved this area on Long Lake. The beach is very private , and we used it everyday. The beach also has a small fire pit, with a larger fire area up by the cabin. It’s a 16 minute drive into Cheboygan. Where their are many shops, and Restaurants. Cheboygan also has a beautiful trail system, with the Trail Head right in town. Our daughter ran on this trail at least three times while we were here. Makinaw City, and the Makinaw Bridge, are only 30-35 minute’s away.

Great little cottage. Loved the location and the proximity to town. Everything we needed. Will definitely return hopefully when it isn’t cold and rainy so I can enjoy the beautiful screened porch and nice yard/firepit.

I stayed here for a wedding and wanted some private and quiet time around the events. It was fabulous. Sitting on porch talking to a friend or reading, the bed in the loft helped give me two of my best nights sleep in a long time. Would love to return for a longer time and just chill Went to the Villager in Lewiston for breakfast. Great service and food. Closes at 2 and cash only.
