Burlington: soggiorni in cottage

This was a great getaway! It was the perfect size house for the three of us. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped (especially compared to other places I’ve stayed). Emmy was responsive and available. I wish we could have stayed here longer!

Cute cottage in a beautiful setting right down the road from Jay Peak. Great access to hot tub which was fantastic after a day of skiing. Would definitely consider staying again when I return to the region.

We book here every year for our anniversary and every year the cabin on Metcalf Pond is incredible. Stunning sunsets over the gorgeous mountains. The deck, hot tub, and yard have phenomenal views. Their kitchen is tidy, bathroom fully stocked, and they have plenty of linens for cold winter nights or towels for warm days on the water. I cannot sing high enough praises. Very responsive and proactive in providing information on check in and the surrounding location. A must stay for anyone looking for peace, quiet, and solitude.

Had a wonderful, comfortable stay with our family of 4. Really cute, well kept property, hot tub was great, and the heated bathroom floors were welcomed on our cold stay.

Can’t say enough good things about this space! Outstanding location, well-stocked cupboards, tasteful decoration and ambiance (record collection, books, puzzles, etc), and amazing natural views. Frankly a kind of magical place—and Adam was an excellent, attentive host. Also helpful with local recommendations, which is always a nice personal touch. One of the only AirBnB’s I’ve ever stayed in where I’ve had the distinct thought that it’s a place I’d want to return to again someday. A true gem if you’re looking to spend some time in and around Lake Champlain or the surrounding area.

We had a wonderful stay at Stowe Country Cottage. The house was quaint but spacious with an abundance of natural light and charm. It was decorated beautifully and felt very welcoming. Ours was a last-minute booking and Michelle was very accommodating and responsive throughout the process. Highly recommended!

We had such a great family stay at The Cozy Cottage. You can tell that the home was very well built and it was extremely comfortable for our family with kids. The wood stove is awesome and heats up the whole house with plentiful wood in the basement and instructions to use the stove. The house was very clean and well appointed. We spent 2 nights there while we skied Sugarbush and the location was great for us. I would definitely recommend this home and look forward to returning next year!

This place is so wonderful! Everything is provided for your comfort. Rayna was great in communicating an issue about one of the toilet is not working and offered a full refund if that would be a problem, which it was not at all. The location is great. Easy access to the lake for swimming or kayaking (kayak/canoe is available for use). It has a nice patio for sitting while enjoying the sunset view. This makes it to the list of favorite places to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at in this remote getaway in the Adirondacks. The property was perfect for us and our dog, which plenty of space to explore and a cozy fireplace to come back to. The drive to Lake Placid is easy and scenic, and the host's recommendations for local spots were great. The host was also very personable and even stopped by to drop off cookies. Overall, a perfect retreat!

This was our second stay at the Stuga. Last time was in May so we wanted to come back in the winter for some snow fun. Did some sledding at the house and some snowshoeing at Barr Hill Nature Preserve just up the street. A lot of fun and beautiful as always. Nancy and Bob are great hosts, always responsive. Will be back!

Sarah’s place is warm and cozy, even when it’s bitter cold outside. A beautiful location next to a lovely creek. Easy to get to and located right in town with some good amenities and restaurants.

This was a wonderful place/spot. Very peaceful and private spot. The home was amazing, comfy and clean! Would recommend this spot to anybody looking for a nice relaxing getaway from all the chaos who enjoys a nice view of a lake and may also enjoy fishing, kayaking, etc. I’m hoping this place is available the next time I return. Also the host was extremely responsive and very nice.

Absolutely breathtaking views from the huge windows. My kids loved watching the horses across the way and then coming up to our window at dusk. Clean, spacious and private. This is an airbnb that I would go back to.

My family and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage. My boys loved sledding on the hill off the front porch the most. We wished it was warmer while we were there to be able to enjoy the property more and try the snowshoes Amy was graciously willing to lend us. This is a great place to stay as a family with plenty of things to do within an hour radius. Thanks Amy!

Stef’s place is truly a gem— cozy, tasteful, and well equipped for a little weekend in the woods. We appreciated the wood stove and the large supply of games. Would absolutely stay again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Anne's cottage. Absolutely pristine! It is exactly as pictured. We felt like we were the first guests ever hosted there. Everything is brand new. Spotlessly clean, beautiful decor, absolutely amazing views of the lake, a quiet road, warm and friendly hosts. Bed was very comfortable and felt brand new. It was the most nicely outfitted and special AirBnB we've ever stayed at, and we've stayed at many! Anne was super responsive and helpful, proactively gave us flexible check-in and out, and had great dining recommendations. A basket of snacks on arrival was very appreciated throughout our stay as we didn't bring alot of food. Grand Isle is such a unique place with beautiful landscapes, lake views, peaceful surroundings. We couldn't have asked for more and can't wait to come back!

My friend and I enjoyed our stay at this cabin! The views from the cabin are beautiful, and you can’t beat the location directly on the lake. The lake views from inside, the screened in porch, and the backyard were awesome. The kitchen had supplies to make breakfasts/basic meals, the space was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We used this cabin as a home base for visiting Burlington, Waterbury, and Stowe and found it easy to navigate to and from the highway to these larger cities.

This cottage has to be one of the most charming, peaceful places I've stayed. The cottage is up on its own little hill, surrounded by blueberries, peonies and at night, fireflies. Caroline was flexible with our check-in and met us as soon as we got in to show us around. We came up for four nights in June with our dog, who loved having room to explore off leash. The cottage itself had everything we needed. The outdoor shower is a really nice touch, especially on a summer night. We also really appreciated little touches like two chargeable fans for warmer days/evenings, and little vases of flowers everywhere-- including in the clean, composting outhouse. Really amazing what they have managed to do on just solar power plus a couple propane appliances!! Nothing but good things to say about Caroline, Derek and their cottage.

Would highly recommend this cabin! We loved the location, just a 15 min drive to the mountain and 2-3 minutes to downtown Stowe. It’s very cozy and has lots of table space for meals or working remotely. Beds are very comfortable. The hosts were extremely quick to respond to messages. On our second day the heat in the lower floor went out and we had trouble restarting it, but the hosts sent someone over immediately to fix the issue. We would definitely stay again, thank you!

Morgan is the perfect host, providing everything necessary to a magical stay in their remarkable cabin. I had complete privacy and quiet, but knew she was readily available if I had any questions or needs. The cabin itself is a wonder of architecture, with every detail carefully thought out and rendered. There are books galore and CDs, the slipper foot bathtub is amazing, and the back patio offers a peaceful view of trees and meadow. The property is dotted with wonderful sculptures by her husband, Alan. I watched the sun rise and set and walked down the very dark night road to look at the stars. The woods are my favorite place to be, and there was no shortage of local hiking trails. The general store just down the street is staffed by very friendly folks, and I bought a new favorite coffee mug made by a local artisan. In short, my stay was everything I hoped it would be, and I would highly recommend it.

Very peaceful/quiet stay. Beds were comfortable as many mentioned and it was enough space for our family of 4. No issues with heat or hot water in the winter. We did have a lot of rain when we were there and snow on the last day, which made driving up/down the mountain a bit tricky but us city folk survived :)

Patti was a wonderful host- she was very proactive in making sure we got to the location easily as well as providing ideas for us to do while we were there. The place was wonderful, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful trees. I would recommend this to any leaf peepers or someone wanting a quiet Vermont getaway.
