Buncombe County: soggiorni in cottage

Beautiful home! Photos and descriptions were accurate. Host was responsive & place was pristine. Very peaceful with every amenity you need. Will definitely come again! Notes- Home was a little difficult to find late at night, yoi have to go off a 2nd side road to get to the home & cell service is almost non-existent which for many may be a good thing but we hadn’t downloaded & screenshot info before we arrived so we were a bit frazzled that we wouldn’t be able to get in for a little while. That’s on us though as management sent a text with instructions. There were a good bit of instructions so make sure to read over. The host sent out with ample time. Everything was labeled nicely at the house but there was nothing in the house with the WiFi information so make sure to read over the instructions & screenshot the WiFi info from the your phone as well. Had a great time & a wonderful stay! Highly recommend!

This place was fantastic! We stayed here with our 4 daughters. They loved feeding and talking to Hershey the donkey every day. The home was clean and SO WELL SUPPLIED! We have stayed in so many AirBnBs where we had to rewash the silverware for every meal--not here! There were cooking utensils and silverware and plates and cups and bowls galore as well as tinfoil and parchment (so helpful for leftovers and baking). The owner also quickly supplied firewood when she realized it had been overlooked. We loved sitting in the front room playing games, reading, doing puzzles and enjoying the woodstove. The home is at the end of a mountain road and we hiked on the mountain and took walks up and down the road. The only constructive criticism I would have is that the key instructions are confusing. I would just say, there is no key, just a keypad with a code to get in and out. Thank you again for lovely quiet place for us to get away and celebrate New Years!

The Loverly is truly lovely—you’ll feel at home! With a fireplace, a chaise lounge, a hot tub, and more, it’s the perfect retreat. Plan a shopping day in Hendersonville. The local consignment shop, which supports hospice care, offers great prices. For a meal, check out Shine—known for unique dishes and excellent service. In Fairview, The Local Joint is a must-visit. This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

Caleb's place is absolutely stunning! The amenities are draw you in but the interior of the home is just as welcoming. Every room is cozy and the home is well-appointed. Communication was easy and timely. There were no shortage of recommendations and the location was perfect.

My boyfriend and I loved staying at this cottage! We took a couples trip to visit Asheville and support the community after the hurricane, and we loved every minute of it! The place was beautiful and private and we felt right at home! The hot tub was definitely a favorite for us!!!! We would absolutely stay again!

This was the perfect weekend getaway from the chaos of the city! Emily and Hunter were amazing hosts and I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the weekend. Everything was as described and we left feeling recharged and stress free! Thank you for hosting us!

This lovely home with its pastoral view really exceeded our expectations. The house was roomy, well laid out and we enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the daytime and using the hot tub at the end of the day after hiking the Blue Ridge PWY. The beds were very comfortable. The location was 20 minutes from Asheville. Our host was responsive and helpful. Definitely willing to use this house again!

We enjoyed our stay with our 2 dogs! The cottage was very comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed.. including coffee and tea! The beds were comfortable and the open living room was perfect. We loved the seating on the deck, and the fenced-in backyard overlooking a creek was perfect for our dogs. Location was great with a short drive into Asheville. Our dogs especially loved the visits from the cows next door!! Hope to return soon!!

More than a cozy cottage… a 5 star home! A beautiful high elevation view of the smoky blue mountains with fog rolling in the valley below like a lake of mist this morning. An extra special host with attention to the finer quality soaps and details of creating a serene experience in nature. Glass fireplace, string lights, streaming services…all bonuses, really exceeding expectations The open hilly Nature Preserve is a nice 10 minute walk from the house! Hard to leave :)

We love Woodfin- this house is located right next to a coffee spot and some great BBQ. Our favorite spot was the huge screened in porch

We stayed at Mike and Cate's for my husband's birthday weekend. It was a perfect, cozy spot (loved the bed!) for us to unwind after our adventures to the Biltmore House and a day of antiquing. I highly recommend this for a couple looking for a quiet neighborhood and relaxing stay. We had a great seafood meal at Surf & Brew Oyster Bar, minutes from the house!

Bucolic location with three comfortable beds — we especially loved the pasture raised eggs they left for us!

I enjoyed the stay. The location of the home was very convenient to many areas. It was not as private as I would have hoped although the home was very clean.

The Cottage was the perfect home base for a fun weekend exploring Asheville. The bath was lovely and everything was nice and clean and comfortable.

we came to this gorgeous airbnb to escape some plumbing work being done on our house. we could not have been happier. Francia was flexible when we had to extend, very communicative. the house was an adorable, mountain cabin with a GREAT backyard! perfect for our pup Finnegan! 10/10 would stay again :)

Jennifers place was great! We loved the cottage feel, and coziness of the home. The furniture was super comfy, the couch sinks you right in! I slept so good and everything was so peaceful. We loved the creek and the location of the home! Great communication. Highly recommend will be back.

This is absolutely the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. I love to fish and the pond didn’t disappoint, caught bass, catfish and bluegill, it was a blast. It was so quiet and we really enjoyed the space by the pond. The home was immaculate!! We are already planning another trip to go back.

Angie was very helpful and responsive from the very beginning. We were arriving in town for a work conference and I was trying to find a last minute place for our crew and us to stay. She was available to answer my questions before booking and we were able to check into the cabin late. The cabin was perfect! Every detail was thought of. We had all the amenities we needed (W/D, full kitchen, outdoor grill etc…). The beds were comfortable and clean. We were able to cook dinner in the kitchen one night and grill dinner another. It was relaxing and money saving. Angie remained available for any questions that popped up during our stay. Checkout was also super easy. There were no crazy to do list. She had common sense request on how to leave her property. And again, she was highly responsive during this time. If we come to the Asheville area again, we will definitely try to stay here!

The Cottage at Lake Lure provided unmatched views and a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Outdoor spaces are beautiful but unfortunately the boat house that was present at the time of booking had been taken down by the time of our stay, reducing the ability to be on the lake. Access to paddleboards and kayaks a plus and the ability to rent a pontoon was a wonderful bonus. Wifi access was spotty and phone service challenging - this provided some challenges to individuals who planned to work a remote day from the booking. Overall a great stay with fire pit, grill, time on the water, and gorgeous scenery.

The house was very comfortable and was nicely decorated. The kitchen was well appointed and the screened porch was lovely.

Incredible location! The surroundings are so beautiful. You have a beautiful view of the rolling Hills and mountains in a distance. We even had the opportunity to see some bears walk through the property, which was incredible. Truly a gem in Asheville. I was also very pleased at the little touches that the host had it, they gave a back up, popcorn, little snack, snacks, and even a s’mores kit which we were able to enjoy.

We were looking for a home that was within walking distance to Chimney Rock Village. This home is about a 1-2 min walk to the beginning of the village and about a 10 min walk to Lake Lure Park. The neighborhood that this home is in has very friendly neighbors and is very quiet. The only thing we could hear was the Broad River. The home was very clean and cozy. Our dog loved the fully fenced in yard, which was big enough for her to get a good run in. Amanda was very responsive and kept great communication. I highly recommend this home and we would definitely stay here again.
