A cosy self-contained stone cottage in a peaceful green valley below Cefn Llwydallt. We're 1000 feet up and the views are brilliant! There's a remote, "get away from it all" feeling, but we're just 3 miles from the main A470 road, and a short drive from Hay-on-Wye, Brecon, Builth Wells, and the Brecon Beacons. Perfect for a self-catering stay, downstairs is open plan, with spacious kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and a toilet; upstairs has two bedrooms, and a bathroom with shower and toilet.

The cottage has 3 rooms for private use; living room (sofa bed with mattress), kitchen and bathroom, heated by an eco-friendly biomass boiler. Freesat tv and DVD player. A few metres takes you to the nearest footpaths leading to beautiful hills, the Taff Trail or a pretty stream along a valley. Brecon mon canal a short walk.

The cottage is located just out of the centre of Hay opposite the beautiful St Mary's Church. It is slightly quieter here than in the heart of the town but is still only a 5 minute walk into the centre. It is very easy to access the river walks, simply taking the path to the right of the church. The cottage is full of character with wooden beams, a wood-burning stove, the original fireplace in the bedroom, wooden flooring throughout the downstairs, and a beautiful south-facing garden.

Oak beams and wooden floors frame a simple whitewashed open plan space which offers: a sleeping area on the mezzanine with one double floor-level bed and up to two single futons; on the ground floor, a wet-room and the kitchen-eating-living area with Clearview wood-burning stove. Located at the foot of The Offa's Dyke Path and only a 5 minute walk to shops, pubs, park with river access. Wireless. Off road parking. Well behaved dogs welcome. Can accommodate 2 adults and up to 2 children.

An ideal area for walking, cycling, canoeing and other outdoor pursuits. Self contained with private garden and suitable for two adults. Close to all local amenities - shops, pubs, eating places etc. - very well equipped with off road parking, free wifi and good mobile reception. Two nights minimum stay. Hot water provided.

Irfon cottage sleeps two guests with its cosy open plan layout. The bedroom has a super king bed which can also be arranged as twin beds by request. The bathroom has a shower. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with the living area comfortably furnished. You are welcome to bring up to one dog please include this on booking, we ask that pets are not allowed in the bedroom and if they do go on the sofa, blankets are provided. There is an EV charger.
