This treehouse was custom designed by its architect with three dimensional chess in mind. Artisan architectural details are found throughout. This charming home is an ideal, tranquil retreat. While only a moment's walk from town, it is secluded, sitting directly on the lake. Kayaks are provided. Watch the sun rise and set from the house, the shore or while floating. The house is fully furnished w/ linens. Come to focus on doing the things you love: walking, shopping, fishing or watching languid sunsets lakeside. Please note: Month-long stays are not available June-Aug. We only accept minimum 5 day reservations during these months.

Loondocks | Lakeside Hideout w/ Sauna

Less than an hour from Minneapolis, the Loondocks is a sun-soaked, pet-friendly hideout on beautiful Big Eagle Lake. Natural stone steps (NOTE: These are uneven, so do not book if you have mobility concerns!) lead down to the bungalow-style house, a stylish bunkhouse, wood-burning sauna, spacious deck with lake views, and flat waterfront yard. If you want the second bathroom, please request to the owner. During winter months of snow, we allow our guests to use the garage to further enhance their stay while by remaining warm/dry If you want to use the golf hitting bay or basketball court.
