Hillrise Cottage is a peaceful and picturesque property on a hill above the gum trees with spectacular views of the Grampians to the west. 15 km from Ararat and 30 km from Halls Gap, Hillrise Cottage is a great base for exploring the beautiful Grampians region, (30mins away), taking in the local wineries or just relaxing. Chill out in this unique home, stroll around the 6 acre property and check out the large dam, beautiful trees and abundant wildlife. Hillrise is 2.5 hours west of Melbourne.

Relax on the property or use it as a base for bush walking in the nearby Mount Cole State forest or visiting the Pyrenees wineries. Abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidnas & a wide assortment of birdlife. 15 km from Beaufort. Cosy cast iron chiminea on the deck; firewood supplied. EV Car charger. Sadly, the historic meditation temple (c.1995) was destroyed in the February 2024 bushfire.

Wander through the trees to our handcrafted Shack, lovingly built from recycled materials, with breathtaking panoramic views over our regenerative farm to the mountains beyond. Inside snuggle by the wood heater, outside relax on a hand hewn red gum deck with built-in bath, outdoor shower. The outhouse provides views across the wetlands and its wildlife! Gariwerd walks are a 10 minute stroll away, as is good coffee, the local brewery and the eateries of Halls Gap. Come and connect!

The Cottage @ Hedges

The Cottage @ Hedges is an easy 10 minute drive from the centre of Ballarat. The cottage sits within a pretty country garden about 20 metres from my home on a small rural property. Close to parklands, Lake Wendouree, art galleries, wineries and lots of great cafes and restaurants. The Ballarat-Skipton Railtrail is just 300 metres away - perfect for quiet country walks and cyclists. It is comfortable inside and out with plenty of shady spots to sit in the garden.
