Herdy Lodge is a contemporary take on a country cottage (Insta =HerdyLodge) It is within our family smallholding on the Northern slopes of the Eden Valley where we farm our happy flock of herdwick sheep. We are located a stones throw from the Brampton village where you will find an abundance of amenities including pubs, takeaway's and a 5* food hall. We are located less than 10 miles to Carlisle and a short drive to the M6 a gateway to Scotland, the lake district and Northumberland. Tweed mill dates back to the 1800's. It was originally an outbuilding to the Tweed Mill.

An ‘Amazing Spaces’ inspired shipping container conversion, set in a peaceful secluded wildlife friendly garden, at the foot of the Pennine hills. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

Wetheral is just 3 miles from junction 42 on the M6 and the village has great amenities including a Village Shop and post office, Cafe, and a great pub just across the road! Wetheral Railway Station is a short walk from the cottage with regular trains to Carlisle and Newcastle. Easy access to Gretna Green, the Lake District, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
