Outskirts of Orono, space has an upstairs sleeping loft, with a low-ish ceiling and very comfy bed. The bathroom has a shower, the kitchen has a hot plate, microwave/convection, ‘fridge, and there is a large main room downstairs. Windows everywhere, and an AC unit in summer. Less than 20 minutes walk to restaurants, Ampersand’s grocery, and hiking. UMaine is our chief attraction but we are 20 min drive from the Bangor Waterfront. Arrive at 3 pm and leave at 10 am, but we are flexible.

Enjoy easy access to all the best Maine has to offer from this perfectly located home base on the Stillwater river. Walk to the UMaine campus, just .5 miles away. Enjoy restaurants, bars and cafés in Orono or Old Town. We are very close to 95, making it easy to day trip to Acadia National Park, Camden, or Baxter State Park.

Enjoy swimming, kayaking and fishing during the day followed by smores around the camp fire at night. Under an hours drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. By booking guests agree to adhere to house rules. We do not provide EV charging.

BREEZE Treehouse, at The Appleton Retreat is located on 120 acres of private land, bordered by 1,300 acres of a protected nature conservancy. To the south is the Pettengill Stream a resource protected area and to the north a large secluded pond. BREEZE does not have a hot tub but guests may reserve the sauna, which is close by and private. The Appleton Retreat is less than a 30 minute drive to Belfast, Rockport, Camden and Rockland, charming downeast seaside towns.
