Our cottage is part of Gurnet Village, an over 100-year-old working lobstering & oyster farming property on historic Route 24, between Brunswick & Harpswell. Expect boats, workers, road traffic, gear, and the occasional sounds & smells of a real Maine working waterfront. All rooms have ocean views, with access to the tidal beach & floating dock (May-Dec).

The cottage sits on an acre of land and is surrounded by beautiful forest and a view of the hallmark village, Wiscasset. Perfect place for couples, family, or friends to spend the summer/fall/vacation or getaway by the river's edge.

Compass Rose Way Cottages are on Rutherfords Island in South Bristol, Maine. There are four cottages, we rent two of the four, North and West, both are two bedroom, one bathroom, both with an open concept living room and kitchen. Cottages are less than 1/3 mile from downtown South Bristol and the ocean. We are about 14 miles from Damariscotta, Pemaquid Point, and other mid coast Maine towns. Our electricity is provided by our solar array that is grid connected.
