Chatsworth, Bakewell, Dove Dale and the Monsal Trails are all a short drive away.

The Kennels

Kick off your walking boots, wash down your bike or just park up the car, this freshly converted kennels is the place to relax for a few days. Peaceful and away from it all but close enough to explore the beauty of the Peak District and Chatsworth House. Matlock is a couple of miles away with restaurants, shops and amenities. The cottage which dates from 1845, is situated in Bonsall village, high above the wooded 'Via Gellia' gorge. Matlock Bath is 2 miles by car or a scenic walk through woodland. Superb walks from the door to the limestone moors above. Within easy driving distance of Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Arkrights Mills. Crich Tramway Museum and Carsington Water. Bonsall has two pubs and a Tea Room a few minutes walk from the property. Bonsall Carnival week starts on the last Saturday of July every year.

Spinney Farm cottage is set in an idyllic rural location on a quiet country lane overlooking the village of Bonsall. Footpaths on your doorstep lead you into the beautiful countryside. Spinney Farm is the home to a herd of alpacas which you are welcome to visit and you may also see the cows from Puddle Hill farm in the nearby fields. Spinney Farm cottage is set in a dry stone wall enclosure therefore a safe and secure place for children to play and for you to sit and relax.

Cobbles - Modern First Floor Apartment, Bonsall

Our comfortable first floor self catering holiday apartment, Cobbles, is to the rear of the Fountain tearooms. Cobbles has a spacious king size double bedroom and a twin room, and an open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The village has 2 local pubs, and a tea rooms serving freshly made produce. Also, with the Peak District on your doorstep there are walks and plenty of activities to occupy yourselves with during your stay. Children’s play area and park easily accessible.

The very pretty village of Bonsall lies just south west of Matlock, hidden up in the limestone hills and surrounded by glorious scenery. The village is on the Limestone Way and on the Peak District Boundary Walk. Bakers Yard Cottage is a four bedroom stone built cottage situated on a quiet lane, close to the centre of Bonsall. The cottage has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, an enclosed rear courtyard and has private parking for 1 car with additional on-street parking nearby.
