Liverpool Manchester Preston Southport all within easy reach. We are within walking distance to Ormskirk hospital & Edge Hill University. Also easy countryside walks.

Blackbirds Cottage is a detached spacious two bedroom both en-suite holiday home situated in the heart of Douglas valley, within a ten minute walk to the idyllic village of Parbold which has three country pubs, a wine bar and cafe. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife you’ll be sure of a relaxed, private and peaceful stay.

Well presented with open plan kitchen, dining and seating area, leading to a king size bedroom and en-suite. Small dogs are with prior approval £10 per stay. If more than two dogs an additional charge of £10 will be requested for cleaning. Please add at the booking stage if you intend to travel with your dog. Dogs must not be left unattended on the property.

The local village shops are only 10 min walk / 2 min drive away with a historic church and friendly pubs. Ashurst Beacon country park is on the doorstep. Upholland train station is a 20 min walk / 5 min drive away, with links to Manchester and Liverpool.

The cosy guest suite includes a living room with TV, leather sofa and armchair, small dining table and 2 chairs. There is a compact kitchen area equipped with combination oven/microwave, hob, fridge and all essential crockery and cookware. The bedroom has an oak framed king size bed with matching bedside tables and is furnished with pine furniture, curtains and a blind. The shower room is spacious and is en suite to the bedroom. There is gas central heating and blinds to most of the windows.

Set in a fantastic position, The Dalton Bungalow is a picturesque two bedroom semi-detached bungalow. A modern open plan living space with lounge area, dining space and a fitted kitchen. Spotlessly clean, & 3 miles off the M6! Read my reviews 🤩Predominantly used by people working away, but concert goers @Aintree & Edge Hill Uni visitors use it lots! WIFI&NETFLIX. A lovely clean bath &shower! Sleeps 4 - (3 bedrooms, 2 single, 1 double) Office desk! Asda 2 miles away! Ace pub with pool table, coffee’s, 3 min walk! Lovely pleasant neighbours on both sides! NO BATH TOWELS, OR IRON (after burnt carpets)PLS NOTE THIS IS AN EX COUNCIL HOUSE, externally not pretty, but fine :)

The Annex - relax in quiet, charming setting.

The annex, detached from the main house, is set within a beautiful landscaped garden. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and a Smart TV (you will also have to Sky, Netflix, Apple+, Paramount) the bathroom has a walk-in shower. The separate living area has a dining table, sofa and small fridge. Tea and coffee making facilities, cutlery and crockery (for takeaways etc.) are provided. Parking is at the front or side of the house. There is access to strong WiFI . Pets are welcome.

Our apartments are in an ex police station located in a conservation area in the centre of Ashton-in-Makerfield with all the amenities you would expect, also Haydock Park Racecourse is a short walk. We strive to ensure, cleanliness, comfort and value for our guests. Ideal for contractors, trade, business and leisure travelers alike. Our room only option has a choice of two single beds or one super king bed with private shower room, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
