This is one of Cape Town's environmental and historic treasures. It is a candle-lit hideaway with stunning views of mountain and sea. The Cottage is completely off grid, with fresh water coming off the mountain and energy from the sun. The cottage is built from local materials - stone walls, reed ceilings, blue gum supports. There are glass doors and windows throughout the cottage. The cottage has a beautiful open-plan bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom includes a tub, a toilet and a basin.

Just 500 m from Silversand Beach in Betty’s Bay, Sol Y Sombra is a self-catering studio with courtyard and barbecue facilities. Guests can prepare meals in the kitchenette, which includes a gas hob, microwave, kettle and a refrigerator. Beach cabin getaway in Pringle Bay

This is a tiny cabin built for the love of the Koegelberg nature biosphere. It floats on a sea of fynbos and lives out onto a large deck for breakfast with the birds, reading in the hammock, soaking in the fire bath, and dinner al fresco within earshot of the breaking waves. Its interior is a reflection of the coral pinks and misty greens shared by our ocean waters and floral kingdom.
