Beara Peninsula: soggiorni in case vacanze

We had an absolutely fantastic time here. Would highly recommend. The house was spotless, very well kept. The beds were all extremely comfortable, all with fresh linen. The view was amazing. The house is right on the water. The gardens and estate was an excellent place to go for a wander and explore. Paul was an excellent host. We cant wait to come back again

La maison de John est superbe. Tout y est prévu pour que vous vous sentiez à l’aise dans une ambiance cosy et chaleureuse. Le site est vraiment exceptionnel. D’un calme et d’une beauté incroyables. La cuisine est très bien équipée. La cheminée est un super plus ! Nous avons profité de tous les avantages de la maison, sauna et balnéothérapie, c’était vraiment très appréciable. Tomas, le concierge, était vraiment super sympathique, disponible et utile pour nous conseiller sur les atouts de la péninsule de Beara et les restaurants. Nous espérons pouvoir revenir rapidement chez John ! Nous recommandons +++++++ sa belle demeure ! Merci !

Un petit atelier tout en vous sculpté dans un magnifique coin de nature. Des hôtes très discrets, très prévenants (merci pour le pain, les roses…) et très disponibles si vous avez besoin d’eux. Merci beaucoup !

Wir waren mit 2 Familien und Hund in Peters Unterkunft und hatten eine tolle Zeit, großzügige und sehr gute Aufteilung des Hauses, sehr schnelle und unkomplizierte Kommunikation, wir hatten eine rundum tolle Zeit! Fussläufig zum gemütlichen Städchen, kostenlose Mitnutzung des Hotelpools möglich und auch das Frühstück im Hotel hat ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis! Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder!

We were a family of 4 adults - a 16 year old and an 8 year old and the house and location were ideal for us as the 2 adults and 2 kids were visiting from Australia. We were able to entertain friends who popped in as there was so much space, well equipped kitchen, huge BBQ etc. We loved this house and would go back. The only negative was the WiFi was not great in the house, but it's also not great reception in the area - so hopefully that will improve. If you were going to work while staying it wouldn't be easy to do so. A great experience was had by all and the highlight was being able to use the pool and leisure centre in Sheen Falls Hotel across the road. Whenever we needed anything Paudie or Kathy were on it immediately.

We had a lovely stay and felt very safe. The house was lovely and spacious. Very comfortable beds and very quiet. The house was clean and we had everything we needed. Blathnaid was a great host and responded to a question from us within minutes.

Magical views can hardly do justice to the setting of this house. The expansive view over the sea to distant hills is quite exquisite, the peace and silence go deep inside you. We spent many hours just sitting outside in the lovely garden drinking it all in. The house itself is a delight – full of artistic touches created from nature by the owner Birgit. Spotlessly clean with lots of comfortable beds. The upstairs bedroom in the extension has a huge window with panoramic views out over the bay and below it is a large yoga room with lovely views for any activity you choose – the bi-fold doors open out onto a large terrace. Birgit has clearly thought of everything you might need – from organic hand soaps in each of the three bathrooms to an extraordinarily well-equipped cook’s kitchen, including herbs and spices and teas. As if all this wasn’t enough, there is also an outdoor wooden sauna in the garden and a stream-fed natural pond that you can plunge into after the sauna – bliss!

I have stayed at nearly a hundred AirBnBs over the years and this is simply the nicest place, hands down, we have ever stayed. It is seriously beautiful --each evening, we literally sat and watched the sunset over the beautiful natural pond and view of the ocean. The house is gorgeous - a delight of modern architecture, and the host was wonderful. Everything was easy to understand and the house was very well and thoughtfully equipped. We are already planning on next trip there. Amazing!

Comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Location was within easy walking distance of town.

Gorgeous place in a nice, quiet area in west Cork. If you want a place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to see so many things, Pat’s place is it! It is quaint and cozy and disconnected! Don’t plan on doing a lot of screen time (internet connectivity is not the best), but that is the beauty of this stay! Beds comfortable and the best sun porch for breakfast or an afternoon nap! Will stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Anne & Gerry’s place. It accommodated our group of 7 adults with ease. Anne made us feel very welcome and was quick to respond to any queries. The location is fabulous, walking distance to beach and 15min to 20 min walk to the beautiful village of Rosscarbery. I would highly recommend Anne & Gerry’s place. Thanks again Anne

Perfect home for a family gathering. Absolutely gorgeous scenery and easy access to all the sights! Nicely appointed kitchen. Loved, and would definitely come back.

Lovely, refurbished cottage in natural surroundings on the Beara Peninsula. We enjoyed a visit to the Buddhist monastery, a cable car trip to Dursey Island, fishing for pollock, home cooking and a movie night at the fireplace, super quiet nights. Sheila and Andy were flexible, lovely and helpful.

On arrival we found a beautiful basket filled with little treats and a bottle of red. The fridge had milk eggs and bread. The instructions where to find things were super clear and the entire house was spotless. Lovely people to communicate with. Would highly recommend this house. Thank you for allowing us to rent it.

La maison d’ Alva est dans un quartier très calme et tout proche du centre ville. Kenmarre est très bien situé pour découvrir le Ring of Beara et Kerry. Il est tout près de Killarney et de son parc national. Je recommande.

Lovely home and beautiful grounds. We appreciated that mary had the heat and hot water turned on before we arrived. She had a binder of helpful tips on operating appliances etc. and suggestions of nearby restaurants and attractions. She was accommodating when we asked for early checkin.

We had a great stay. Lovely house in a beautiful spot. Beds were so comfy and we particularly appreciated the wonderful views from the conservatory.

A great weekend in Emer's house. It was perfect for a large family get together which fitted us easily with the 5 bedrooms. House was very clean and great heating as it was cold outside during our stay. Emer was a great host. All instructions sent were easy to follow and no fuss with any of our requests made. Great location to with short walk to the town

Una casa con muchas posibilidades para estar en familia, una zona muy tranquila y muy bonita, pero a la vez a unos 3 km. un pueblo con todo lo necesario, tiendas, restaurantes... Skibbereen. Bernadette desde el primer momento comprobando si todo iba bien o había algún problema. Lo único que yo recomendaría, sobre todo a los que no estamos acostumbrados a conducir con el volante a la derecha es si viajas desde Cork, poner en *maps Google" la dirección del pueblo de Skibbereen y una vez esten en dicho pueblo, poner en "maps Google" la dirección de la casa que solo está a unos 3 km. aprox. El trayecto es un poco más largo pero las carreteras son bastante mejores.

Un séjour parfait dans ce havre de paix entouré de la faune sauvage, avec une vue magnifique sur la baie. La maison est très bien équipée pour se sentir comme à la maison. Martin et sa famille sont adorables. Je recommande

Brilliant property, great location, fab views, well equipped and cosy. We had a great long weekend with my parents in law, was very accessible for my disabled mum in law as there was a fabulous downstairs en-suite bedroom . Anne Marie was so helpful and responded really quickly to any questions we had. We can’t wait to go back again soon.
