This 400 sq. ft. guesthouse (studio) on a historic property in Westwood, KS has recently been fully renovated and furnished. It has a completely equipped kitchenette, comfortable living area, along with a queen-size bed. The guesthouse also includes a washer/dryer off the kitchenette. The guesthouse is a separate dwelling located on a half an acre property which includes the original farmhouse built in 1889 - the guesthouse added in 1920. Westwood, Kansas is 2 miles from the Country Club Plaza.

First of - Kathy’s Kottage offers a uniquely private, warm and inviting detached cottage. We are not a huge commercial venture, but owned, operated, maintained, and cleaned by hosts who live within 150 yards. The Kottage is our only offering. We charge a cleaning fee of $35 a stay, so there isn't a list of chores at check out. We take up to 4 hours between every stay to extensively clean and disinfect every surface. We are proud of the Kottage as shown in every review over the last four years.

(one flight of stairs) We offer sweet smells of cinnamon rolls each morning with coffee and pastries right downstairs. We are located right in the middle of town. Basehor is 10 minutes west of Kansas Speedway, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Hollywood casino and Legends shopping area. Lynnmark Mercantile is a 4 minute drive to Holy Field Winery, and 33 minute drive to Historical Lawrence, Kansas

We say disability friendly because it is a new build with wide doorways and a no barrier entrance from the garage. We have lowered the digital garage door keypad to wheelchair height. The largest bathroom has front loader laundry, a roll up sink and a no barrier shower with grab bars and an adjustable shower head. Trash carts are on the North side of the building.
