I didn't write much on the review prompts because it just wasn't needed. Jessica is a great host and the place doesn't feel like a hotel in disguise, it felt like a great place to make new memories. We're grateful for the warm ones we left with.

I booked this trip for my husband’s birthday. It was centered around snowboarding and we were happy it was close to Killington, Pico and Stratton. The house itself was well thought out and there were instructions to everything which took the guesswork out of using the spaces. Would definitely stay again

Courtney’s A frame cabin was exactly what we’d been looking for. My girlfriend and I both work high stress jobs for our first anniversary wanted to unplug, relax, and just be together in a beautiful cabin. The Sauna was easy to use and ran incredibly well, the hot tub was clean and already warm for us when we arrived, the fireplace brought me back to my childhood (wood heat only home) and kept us cozy, and the decor maintained the charm of a 70’s cabin while still being clean, well kept, and modern (mid-cent). Courtney runs a beautiful cabin here, if you’re looking to escape to the lush forests of Vermont and enjoy some rustic charm, absolutely check this place out. Cheers!

This is a wonderful, peaceful cabin! We so appreciate Wendi’s attention to detail. The whole design was tastefully done. The hot tub was perfect! You get the feeling of cabin in the woods but in a luxurious way. My husband and I had the perfect getaway weekend!

The perfect place for our family’s ski trip. The cabin is exactly what you picture for a winter VT trip. Charming log cabin with a wood burning stove, but with all the modern comforts. We were only 5 minutes from Okemo and the hot tub was amazing after long ski days. Locked ski locker on the porch was convenient. Great kitchen so we could cook breakfast and hit the slopes early. The host gave clear instructions and lots of helpful recommendations - very friendly and quick to respond. Fire wood and log starters made the cabin cozy at night. Despite all the snow, the driveway was well plowed. It’s a quiet dead end road without traffic. We will definitely be back!

I cannot recommend Cabin in the Woods enough. I have not felt so peaceful and relaxed as I did after relaxing at the cabin in a long time. Nights in the hot tub enjoying the silence, the nature all around and the stars in the sky was incredible. We passed the time reading, sipping wine and unwinding. We took day trips to Woodstock and Manchester - we had such a great time. Highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful spot - quiet and surrounded by nature. House was great, especially for a group of brothers looking to relax in the hot tub, sit by the fire and watch sports! Bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful, lots of games to keep people busy and just a great spot to spend a vacation. Host Madeline allowed us to arrive early because we were traveling from 4 hours away and wanted to take advantage of the day. Super responsive and very gracious to allow us in early. Staying at The Cozy Black Cabin was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, I felt an immediate sense of comfort and belonging. The thoughtful S’more’s Package delighted our 9-year-old, adding a special touch to our welcome. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for meal preparation, and the beds were wonderfully cozy, complemented by luxurious linens. We spent countless hours in the great room, soaking in its stunning views. On our first full day, we woke to several inches of snow—a breathtakingly beautiful sight. The hot tub overlooking the scenery added to the serene atmosphere, providing the perfect spot to unwind. This tranquil retreat is truly a haven, and we eagerly anticipate returning to savor it all once again. Thank you for creating such a remarkable space for everyone to enjoy!

This is an ideal spot for a winter getaway, and Matt goes above and beyond to provide guests with the best possible experience. During the day, we enjoyed snowshoeing and sledding on the property. At night, the stars truly amazed us. We also enjoyed the cozy fire in the wood stove…a very nice thing for the cold temps we were having. The house is well stocked and beds are comfortable. We are so grateful for the few days we spent recharging at Skip’s Place.

We had an awesome getaway at Kevin and Lesley’s cabin! This was our last little getaway before we get married this fall and it was the perfect unplugged retreat to feel connected going into the stressful time before the wedding. The cabin is cozy, the bathroom is adequate and sort of surprisingly not as buggy as it could have been, and the porch was my favorite spot to feel connected to nature. Kevin was very communicative and the instructions in the cabin were very clear. Luce’s lookout was amazing at the top and a really great recommendation by our hosts. We would definitely go back!

We enjoyed staying in Heidi's Hancock Hideaway! We enjoyed the peaceful, quiet & comfortable place. We enjoyed taking walks, sitting on the porch during the day & star gazing at night. Kitchen had everything we needed to make & enjoy our meals. Heidi made sure we had clear directions with perfect details to arrive at the Hideaway. We even had fun staying in and doing puzzles during the rainy days. Our dog enjoyed laying in the sunshine outside & in front of the windows. Local recommendations were great.

We had a great weekend at the cabin. The cabin and the property are beautiful! I would love to come back again.

Dwayna was a phenomenal host; her cabin was clean and exceeded its description. We especially loved the surrounding trails. I highly recommend this stay to others and hope to be back next time we make the trip to Vermont!!

Wow! This cabin literally felt like a slice of heaven in the Green Mountains. While being close to town, and easy enough to find and access, we were secluded and nestled amongst the trees and a flowing creek. We felt safe and secure. The wifi was fast and we were able to make calls and send texts. We were thrilled to find a Vermont Country Store just ten minutes down the street, and would highly recommend going! Shaw's grocery store in Ludlow was also surprisingly good, and we enjoyed many unexpected finds. This is notable as many of the businesses in Ludlow appear to be seasonal, and you may end up cooking back at the cabin. This is thankfully easily accomplished as the kitchen is pretty large, with ample cabinet space and new stainless appliances. The cabin had a nice outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove, which both made for a wonderful ambiance. Also, of note, the water out of the sink was delicious, and cold. No need to buy bottled water while you are staying. Thank you!

One of my favorite AirBnB stays ever! If you're looking for a cool, comfortable, memorable experience, this is it. The photos don't do it justice. This beautiful home was spotless, had so many amazing handmade artful features, and comfortably hosted our group of 5. Communication with Rik was excellent throughout, and he gave us excellent local recommendations. There are so many great surprises and personal touches in the home, so much space to explore - all in the comfort of modern, cozy amenities. We loved our time at this cozy cabin. It is very private and secluded. It had everything we needed for our stay. The wood stove heats things up quick and was easy to use. We were able to snowshoe right from the porch, as it snowed every day and there was plenty of property to explore. The cabin is close to alot of things we enjoyed. It is very bright and peaceful inside. The steps to the loft bedroom are steep, but we expected such. The road to the cabin can be sketchy with a fresh snow, but our AWD with all weather tires was more than capable. We did take it extra slow coming back down the hill to the main road as it had not been plowed. We would recommend to anyone wanting a private getaway and would definitely stay again!

Beautiful cabin in the woods , nestled at the foothills of the mountains, we went around Peak Foilage in early October and couldn't have asked for better weather and accomodations. Elizabeth, an excellent host, Reccomended some people hikes and look out points by the river, and surprised us with breakfast goodies on a Sunday morning!! Looking forward to be back and would definitely recommend to others as well

This is a place that we are fortunate to go to each year. Our entire family loves the cabin and peaceful lake. I think this is our 7th year. If you’re looking for tranquil, this is the perfect place. I’m so grateful Sharon makes this home available for people to enjoy. This was the perfect spot for a ski weekend! The house was clean, easy to locate & it was easy to communicate with Robert. I could see us renting here again!

We had a great time staying at this property. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable, the layout is unique. Halley was responsive and gave us good recommendations of what to do in the area. The science museum and VINS were a lot of fun. We will definitely stay again.

Already missing this lovely space! You just can’t beat the coziness of the wood stove or the gorgeous views. Through rain, snow, and sunshine, we admired the maintains and trees, never ceasing to be amazed. Josh & Misse were such delightful hosts; they were both so kind and so clearly dedicated to their passions, it was inspiring to stay in a place hosted by people with sustainability and community in mind. Thus was a perfect introduction to Vermont in all its beauty!
