Arugam Bay: soggiorni in alloggi sulla spiaggia

Très bel endroit, super paisible et convivial, on a l’impression d’être seuls au monde et l’accès direct à la plage est magique. Le seul bémol est la nourriture sur place qui est un peu chère et peu d’autres options à proximité car c’est assez isolé, mais cela fait aussi partie du charme !

Super Nice Staff! Rasa, the manager is super nice and helpful. Even told us where to find the wild elephants and came with us to see them. His food was very nice as well! We were there in off-season so only 2/3 cabanas were occupied. But even in high season there is only a maximum of 30~ people there he told us. Located directly at the beach we could see the sunrise from our bed in the open cabana. Would definitely recommend!

We had a good time here! The hut was very cute with the upper balcony and the hosts were very friendly.

Es ist ein super Ort für jeden der Ruhe , gutes essen und einen schönen und leeren strand möchte . Die Unterkünfte sind super und das Personal ist immer freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit in allen Angelegenheiten. Wir würden aufjedenfall wiederkommen!

We had a perfect stay at Footprints.💗🦶 Actually I don't want to write anything as I hope and wish this place to stay secret 🤫... Get back to the elements with legendary cooking and good vibrations, dwelling in high frequency purity. Very thank full to just know places like this still exist. Feels like coming "ohm". Full of love and respect for source and the whole of existence. 🎶🎶🎶🌊🙏🫶

Absolutely gorgeous location & setup. Quite far away from anything but perfect for a remote, relaxing spot and they have everything you need there anyway. The rooms (inc. outdoor bathroom) are very well designed and clean, host Rasa is very sweet, helpful and a fabulous cook - the rice and curries were delicious, and the fries were amazingly seasoned too 😂 You can't be afraid of frogs if you want to stay here but a fantastic place and very happy with our stay.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre, superfreundliche Gastgeber und auch das Personal ließ keine Wünsche offen! Im Restaurant gab es eine grosse Auswahl an leckeren Speisen, ein kostenfreier Wasserspender steht den Gästen ebenso zur Verfügung! Auch die Auswahl an Getränken war hervorragend, von Lime Soda über Bier, Hausgemachten Säften, Longdrinks und Cocktails alles da was das Herz begehrt…. Die Zimmer sind mit liebe eingerichtet, tiptop sauber und mit Klimaanlage sowie Ventilator, Safe und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Direkt an das Grundstück angrenzend erwartet den Gast ein kilometerlanger wunderschöner Strand. Eine Wildlife Tour würden wir jedem der hier Urlaub macht dringend empfehlen, der Sunset mit Picknick auf dem Elephant Rock war sehr schön! Dringende Herzensempfehlung hier ein paar Tage zu verbringen (auch in der Nebensaison!!)

We loved to stay at „Stay Golden“ - the name says it all! A cute and tasteful family-run hotel where kids are more than welcome and have lots of fun things to do! There is heaps of love for details and the owners made everything possible for us to have the perfect stay. We highly recommend and will surely come back! Thank you Angie, Rihan and Rami! Located in a quiet neighbourhood 15 minutes walk from main point - either along the beach for a refreshing morning stroll or through town. Irsath looked after us very well, helping us fight off the mosquitoes, arranging for transport hire, recommending nice local restaurants, and organising our travel onwards. A really diligent and nice guy. The place looks beautiful and when we were there - just before the high season started - it was very quiet. The room we stayed in was rustic as per the photos; it was clean, with a refreshing outdoor shower and a comfortable porch area complete with hammock. As for the area in general, there were many mosquitoes in mid-April when we visited—so soon after the rainy season. Since this is an open-air property, we recommend you load up on anti-mosquito sprays etc if staying here at this time. As noted, Irsath was very helpful in providing these for us.

Super nette Leute die uns bei allem geholfen haben. Wir haben hier auch eine Safari gebucht, natürlich gehört auch Glück dazu. Aber die Safari war atemberaubend. Wir haben jede Menge Leoparden gesehen, von daher empfehle ich auch diese gleich mitzubuchen.

We spent a week in Rihan's place in December and we loved the place. The rooms are very well maintained and clean, the location is great and close to one of the best surf points, and the food, ahhh the food is great, please try the sea food platter and the smoothies bowls. Rihan, Angie and staff are very well coming and makes you feel like home. We highly recommend Stay Golden for a long or short stay :)

Guitar Bay hotel is in a superb location in Arugum Bay it is in the quieter part of the town right on the beach with direct access to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.The swimming along this stretch of beach is safe and most enjoyable although the waves are consistent they are not very high.The rooms are large with ceiling fan,air conditioning and a most comfy King sized bed also a single bed is provided.The private en-suite bathroom has 3 showers! a toilet,handbasin,fan and is a large size also clean towels and bed linen when required.Also a veranda with a coupe of comfy chairs and table offering a view of the Ocean The hotel also had a guitar shaped pool which is clean and well maintained…well funky Mohammed the manager is amenable and helpful and can also help with tours Tuk Tuk hire etc.Got any problems he’s your man👍 I can recommend Beach Coral restaurant at top of entrance road for traditional,tasty,fresh Sri Lankan food at very reasonable prices👍 All in all highly recommended accommodation

We had an amazing stay at this Arugam Bay Airbnb! The space was incredibly spacious, with balconies galore, offering stunning views. The interior design was both beautiful and functional, making our stay truly comfortable. The kitchen was a lifesaver for our midnight cravings, and the pedestal fans were a thoughtful touch that made a big difference. But what really made our stay special was Adam's exceptional hospitality. He ensured our comfort, from taking care of the house to kindly accompanying me to Eid prayers and even lending me his serong. Adam's thoughtfulness and helpfulness made our stay truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this Airbnb for its spaciousness, functionality, and exceptional hosting. Thank you, Adam!

My partner and I stayed for a week at Pasindu's place. The place itself is beautiful. It is within a large garden with lots of greenery as well as some adorable pets. The bed is comfortable and the room is large. The location is about a 15 minute walk from Arugam Bay. It is an easy walk and much quicker on a scooter. It is a much quieter area than Arugam Bay itself, so nice if you're looking for a peaceful stay. Pasindu and his partner Annie are fantastic hosts. They were incredibly responsive. Any issue or question we had was dealt with immediately. Pasindu also is a surf instructor. We took two lessons with him which were both amazing. Thanks for having us!!
