We really enjoyed our stay at Back of Beyond Ranch. The privacy was much needed, as we live in Phoenix with 9 million people surrounding us. The way in, and all the areas around are beautiful. The roads are curvy getting there, but the stay is definitely worth it. Loaded with charm and character one might think it's a bit dated, but we enjoyed the atmosphere. Can't beat privacy deep in woods, with deer and other animals walking throughout the property- only sketchy animal was a skunk that stayed well away. (Thank goodness) Leif was very prompt and attentive to our needs, and we would definitely recommend this as a base of operations for a grand adventure. If you want a place to just hang, the pool table, hot tub, fishing, canoeing, and trail on property will definitely offer plenty to keep you entertained. Great job Leif!

My wife and I got married at Yosemite this weekend and Nate’s home was the perfect place to stay. There was a lot of room to get ready for the big day. The game room is great, the house was clean, and it is surrounded by the beauty of nature! Highly recommend for anyone visiting Yosemite!

Our stay at Ponderosa Pines was wonderful! The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, from a fully stocked kitchen to a relaxing hot tub. The location was perfect for exploring local attractions, and we loved the access to Twain Harte Lake. Overall, a fantastic retreat – we can’t wait to come back!

Super cozy my family loved staying here! The hot tub makes it so worth after a long day of tubing. My favorite part was the kitchen fully stocked with everything you may need, felt right at home making family meals. Beds were super comfy rooms and bathrooms were really clean. It has a really cool That 70s vibes. We had fondue one night for dinner and it was fabulous!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin! We had 11 people total, and it still felt cozy and spacious for everyone. The upstairs loft was perfect for the kids, and there were plenty of towels, snow clothes, and boots for the whole family. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals and even bake, which made it feel like home. The cabin decor is so welcoming, and the views are absolutely beautiful with lots of windows to enjoy it from. We loved playing board games together and enjoying a fire in the fireplace, it was the perfect family getaway. Having a washer and dryer available was a huge plus, and all the supplies we needed were there. The host was great, with very quick response times whenever we had a question. We were also lucky enough to experience fresh snowfall right before we left, which made the trip even more magical. We would definitely love to come back again in the future!

This cabin was everything we could have hoped for! Huge hot tub on a wraparound deck that had a fence so our dog could be outside but not free on the property. Wood burning furnace inside was a favorite feature for my husband and I. Our dog loved laying in front of the fire. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

What a paradise!! Tobey was an incredibly generous, warm, and welcoming host, and all the reviews of the thoughtfulness of the entire home — the abundant blankets, the incredible library, the magnificently equipped kitchen, the beautifully considerate anticipation of guests' needs — are spot-on. We loved relaxing on the big couch, watching a movie on the projector screen, enjoying the hot tub with our kids; and the sheets, kitchen supplies, and everything else were just wonderful. I'd have loved to stay a whole extra week just to read all the great books that were on the shelves — so many inviting books on design, architecture, psychology (I love the School of Life books!), etc. I took my kids to Columbia Historic Park (a Gold Rush town) while we were there, which was really fun. This house was the epitome of "cozy" and "creature comforts," and we savored every day there! !

We had a great stay at Woodhaven! The cottage is very cozy but was spacious for our family of 4. We loved the hot tub on cold evenings, as well as making a fire in the fireplace. It was conveniently located, close to the market and easy to get to. Will and the caretakers were very responsive!

The home is as described in the pictures. Sarah and Bobby were extremely responsive. Unfortunately we had to cut our trip short as our son was homesick. We hope to be back again.

Absolutely amazing stay! The cabin was spotless, beautifully designed, and so cozy. The highlight was definitely the stunning view from the living area—huge glass windows made it feel like we were right in nature. Everything was well-maintained, and the place had a warm, inviting feel. We couldn’t have asked for a better getaway and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!

Excellent stay

This is exactly what an Airbnb experience should be—something that has become rare in recent years. The home is beautiful and clearly cherished; it feels like someone’s personal vacation retreat, not just another rental for profit. The attention to detail and interior design is thoughtful and cozy, especially the well-equipped, home-style kitchen. There’s even a user-friendly guide that makes settling in easy. The house smells great, and the curated coffee selection was a lovely touch. We were pleasantly surprised to see deer just outside the house—it really added to the peaceful atmosphere. The outdoor barbecue setup worked perfectly, and honestly, you’d never get this kind of experience at a hotel for the same price. This is what Airbnb was meant to be. As for location, it suited us well. There’s a Dollar General about 8 minutes away, but we actually brought our own groceries and enjoyed cooking at the house. What else can I say? I’d absolutely come back.

Homey A- frame with a splendid loft bedroom. The surrounding woods and the lovely front deck were a pleasure. Linda left us a bottle of wine, coffee, and bath salts: so much better than many AirBnB’s with nothing included. A good brewery, Calaveras State Park, and charming Murphies with wineries and cute shops are nearby.

We had a lovely time. The cabin was lovely and secluded. I feel like we got a great deal for the price and the host, Corina was kind and helpful. I recommend!

Words cannot describe how magical this cabin was for our vacation. We loved sitting on the porch and gathering around the campfire. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom clean and stocked. I would go back in a heartbeat. It's so quiet and peaceful and just listening to the birds in the trees and watch the clouds roll by made my day. Excellent week there.

Amazing stay at Kristianne’s - sheets and towels felt luxurious and definitely got the cabin feel we wanted. Cozy stay with fuzzy blankets for the living room, very quiet surroundings. and amazing water pressure in the bathroom. Place was spotless, would definitely come again. Great location for Bear Valley and Calaveras State Park.

My family and I appreciated the place for our Thanksgiving getaway. It had everything we needed in the kitchen. Although the electric stove wasn't working at the time, the host was quick to respond and try to help. It was in a beautiful, secluded location, and was very homey. Wish we stayed for more nights!

Really nice location with river access and fishable pools (although we got skunked on a difficult winter attempt). Home is a little dated, but adequate for our stay. One of the upstairs room is not completely enclosed, but has an opening to view/hear the living room area. The windows make for a stunning view. Overall the house kept us warm and allowed us to explore the Strawberry/Pinecrest area. We were lucky to have a dusting for snow during our stay. Parking is located street side and there is no private driveway to park your car. Location was really nice for us to access the snow play parts and Dodge Ridge. There is also a nice OHV type of trail at the end of the street if you are interested in a leisure hike.

This was my third stay and I really enjoyed it. Great if you have a dog. Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Bed was super comfortable. Had a great time again

The cabin was just as we saw in the pictures and very spacious. Our host was really responsive whenever we needed things. There was ample space for the kids to run around and play with the provided games and kids toys. The location was just away from the main road and quiet at night. We would definitely come back and visit again.

Thank you for a great stay! We were a group of 4 adults and 5 kids, and this house fit us all comfortably. The kids loved the upstairs bunk room. As others have noted, there are a number of stairs and the elevator is right in the main rooms. Neither of these things were a major issue, just something to be aware of.

We spent a wonderful long weekend at Mark’s cabin. It’s very clearly a family home and not just a cookie cutter Airbnb (and I mean that in the best way). It was very comfortable for our family of 3 (+1 dog) and the kitchen had everything we needed. Mark was an attentive and communicative host who answered all of our questions quickly. The back deck looks out onto tall trees and the mountains and it was so quiet and peaceful. We will definitely return next year!

We enjoyed our stay at Denise Ann’s. The cabin matched the description, all the appliances worked well, we both enjoyed the soft water and the shower. We would recommend the cabin to anyone who likes the forest and wants a peaceful getaway.
