The home sits on a wooded three-acre private retreat only about a mile from the village of Elkhart Lake, Road America, and Golf Courses. This unique cabin was built in the 1970's but has been recently renovated with a fun Scandinavian modern flair. The Hummingbird Retreat is the ideal getaway for family and friends and the outdoor enthusiasts. Located in the center of the 2,800-acre Point Beach State Forest, you’ll enjoy miles of biking and hiking trails. I'm also host to many beautiful different species of birds that are native to this area. You can watch them in their natural habitat all around the property. The outdoor whirlpool is there to enjoy and soak those tired muscles! I promise, you won't be disappointed with your cozy stay!

Located 1.5 miles from the famous Cave Point attraction in White Fish Dunes State Park, our cottage has everything you need for a fun, relaxing, and peaceful stay. Located 15-20 minutes from every major town in the County: Baileys Harbor, Egg Harbor, Sturgeon Bay, Fish Creek, and Sister Bay. Our space is brand new construction in 2024 finished with stained concrete floors, electric fireplace, upscale finishes, large back patio, & shared sauna.

It is the perfect place to relax after enjoying the sights and adventures that Door County has to offer. The Shed is a home in a shed, cozy, comfortable, casual and convenient.

Main TV and Main bedroom also have access to Roku device for use of Netflix. XBox 360 connected to main TV. Space has access to 7 cu ft chest freezer, outdoor propane grill, wood burning fire pit, and ping pong table. House is equipped with softened water and a reverse osmosis system for drinking water.

Our cottage is situated on the “quiet side” of Door County on the meandering Glidden drive along the Lake Michigan shoreline. The cottage is perched upon a small hill and surrounded by pine trees in a relaxed country setting. Guests have dedicated access to Lake Michigan right across the street. The sand beach provides for an excellent location for kayaking, sunbathing, swimming, and walks. Glidden Cottage is only five miles from Sturgeon Bay.
