This Cabin/TreeHouse is one of the best stays I have had so far. The place is lush green and in between a private estate. The place is very peaceful and totally cut off from humans, sans the care taker. The view from the place is amazing, surrounded by greenery and voices of the forest. The nights, if you enjoy the voices of nature is enjoyable too. The place is equipped well for cooking, please carry grocery if you plan to cook. If you prefer outside food, plan in advance as the drive to nearest town is around 9 kms and not for city dwellers post dark. Also plan to reach the place in day light on day 1, the terrain needs some getting to know post which you should be comfortable. Sarath the care taker is helpful. Can be of assistance if you need help with reasonable timelines.

It was a wonderful stay at Arun’s place, felt like home. Arun and his family offered us breakfast and made us feel comfortable. The house is also located beautifully within walking distance from the main market.

What a beautiful home! So serene, calm and beautiful views throughout. Mithun has really put a lot of thought into every aspect which is really appreciated. Getting to the stay is easiest by car as it's a slightly steep hilly walk, though a very pleasant one. The whole place is bright and airy, with stunning views yet very private. Yeshu, the kindly caretaker was around to help as best he could. The stay has no TV which I felt was a plus as you can really enjoy the stay while you're there, and Mithun has left lots of activities (badminton set, dart board) to keep guests entertained. Great suggestions for nearby food places, though I'd also suggest trying the real local smaller eateries where we had some really great food. Overall I'd recommend this stay, well worth it. The Planter''s Foyer is in a magical place, Kamballikad. It is the result of friends and families coming together under the shared vision of natural building and nature based living. The architectural touches are just divine, from the use of natural materials like stone, wood and reclaimed stuff, to antique pieces and soulful stuff dotting everything - it is quite something- a class apart from the average concrete monstrosity put together usually in Kerala. We booked for two days and stayed on location the whole time. Making walks to find sunrise and sunset spots, to being served meals three times a day by the caretaker Shijo- which had its highlights: Idiappam, the pork curry, among many things. I loved the skylight in the bathrooms, the shade for the lamps, the wooden boxes for all electrical fixtures. The last stretch to the location is a task for the unseasoned driver, the cllimb is very steep and I struggled, but we could have utilised the caretaker's offer to drive up

We had a wonderful stay at Rejoice’s place! He was extremely polite, friendly, and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The house itself is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by beautiful scenery that made our trip even more special. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene getaway.

The stay at Swastham was great and unforgettable experience. Mr. Joy was so helpful and very friendly. The bungalow has a massive plantation where Mr. Joy took us for visit, it was so pleasant and informative. He described about the plants and cultivation process, my kids and wife enjoyed very well. Had homemade foods daily which is so tasteful. One day Mrs. Joy cooked traditional Kerala style breakfast and it was truly tasty. Every morning we wake up by hearing beautiful sounds of the birds and hot coffee and sit out is unbelievable. There are two caretakers and they were very friendly and we felt like staying in our home. I highly recommend this place. Truly truly amazing. The stay was absolutely perfect for a good family trip. Host is great, they welcomed with great warmth. They also showed us their garden and plantation. All facilities listed were available and everything was provided with great quality. This is a perfect home stay that will surely make your trip worth remembering.

Joby's place is a great place to stay if you're opting for some peaceful private vacation. The house has all the basic amenities. One thing to keep in mind is to plan your food requirements. Recommended to pack your groceries if you can cook as they have kitchen with gas stove and utensils or you can purchase in the nearby shop ( Timings are important ). Hotels are not very accessible but Joby/host will arrange if you're not in a position to cook. Other than that the place Mankulam is so rich that is filled with nature and beautiful people. Do visit once.

A beautifully curated space, we absolutely loved it! Oshin and her dad were really helpful from the start, showing us around the space and even dropping us back to town the next morning after checkout. We’ll definitely come back again!
