North Vancouver has been my home since 2006 and I feel lucky to live in such a beautiful area. I'm also glad to be close to my granddaughter and her parents (my main reason for moving here) and to be part (email hidden)ly cohousing community with everything that that entails: common meals, gardening, compost, parties, hanging out and lots of discussions as well as a steep learning curve when it comes to things like group process and how to have meetings that people actually want to attend.
Before coming to Canada, I was in New Mexico (truly the 'land of enchantment') for many years and I wish it were practical to migrate there in the winter and spend most of the rest of the year in Vancouver. I love traveling and have lived and worked in Japan and Nicaragua. I also enjoy camping, hiking, yoga, reading. Though it can be distressing, I try to follow current events and lately have become increasingly interested in the subject of peak oil, with all of its implications for energy and the economy.
