Mark was a great host! Friendly and very helpful. The room was clean, tidy, and had incredible views. I would definitely recommend him to other AirBnB'ers!
This was my first private room booking, and I ended up enjoying it as much as my whole-unit bookings. The apartment is neat and clean, and has easy access (F train) and good coffee places within walking distance. Mark is very responsive to queries, helpful and provides clear guidance on how to get to the apartment and how things work. I only spent one night at Mark's and I ended up spent most of my time working in my room -the room is perfect for that- but hopefully I could go back and enjoy the carnivorous sky of the Brooklyn skyline.
What an amazing view! Very gracious hosts. I would stay there again. It was bloody cold outside and warm on the inside.
I had a fantastic stay at Mark and Siret's. They were both super friendly, easy to talk to, and interesting. Their suggestions for places to do work/decompress were spot-on. LES is such a refreshing neighborhood- diverse, not overly gentrified with amazing food experiences to be had and places to wander. The apartment and my room were very large (hard to believe this exists in NYC), clean, and comfortable. Aside from awesome hosts + neighborhood + apartment, I guess I should mention the (freaking) phenomenal view of the Brooklyn skyline and Manhattan Bridge. Leaves you in awe. I highly recommend staying there!
Mark was a great host! He was easy to contact, and he and his friend were really helpful with check in. The room has a great view, and the apartment is super close to the subway and Chinatown. I would definitely recommend his place.
Mark's place is amazing!!! Even in freezing 9 degree weather i felt warm and comfortable. The place was spotless and the views of the bridge are something i've never been able to experience staying elsewhere in NYC.
The bedroom decor was no frills but it makes for the perfectly priced stay for a business traveler like myself. Mark made sure i was able to enter, received a set of keys as soon as i got in even if i was hours past the said check in time ( My flight was delayed because of the snow and they lost my luggage!!!)
I will definitely be staying here again!
Mark was an excellent host and the room is spectacular, it's hard to beat a sunset that creeps behind the bridges over the East River and bounces of the buildings of Brooklyn. Really interesting neighbourhood that's still well connected to everything you need. Best of all, there's a shop that sells craft beer and cheese just down the road, what more could you ask for?
Marks apartment is in a great location in the Lower East Side and found this location to be a good base to get around all of the locations we wanted to check out in New York City. Thank you for the hospitable and memorable stay and also thank you to Jared for being flexible when collecting the keys when we arrived over the holiday period.
Mark's place was just perfect for our trip! Everything went smoothly and Mark was responsive and reached out to us to be sure all went well. We will come again when we go back! Thanks Mark!
Great place, convenient location, amazing view! Mark was a great host, and I especially appreciate his prompt and consistent communication with me through the inquiry process and throughout my stay. Stay here! You can't go wrong!
Such a fantastic experience! Super friendly, interesting and wonderful people. Would have them over any time!
It was very nice hosting Jared. We enjoyed his interesting conversation and shared cool moments. He is very respectful and easygoing. It was a pleassure to meet him. Totally recommended to any host!!
By the way, we did enjoyed playing chess :-)
Although we met for a very short time, I can tell Jared is a nice and easy-going person. He also was very clean and tidy. I recommend him to everyone!
Jared and his family are very charming, curious, and enthusiastic people. I have been glad to welcome them in Normandy at the Duplex. Everything was perfectly clean when they left. I would be glad to welcome them again.
Very pleasant guest I was delighted to let him my apartment. I recommend as a guest !
I found a listing of Jared's apartment on (website hidden) back in April and we arranged all of the details via email. I stayed for about a week while he was out of town, and everything was as described. The room was very neat and clean, with an excellent book collection that he encouraged me to peruse. The neighborhood is great, but just be sure you know where it is as it's not quite in the heart of the Lower East Side (but less than a 5 min walk away). The room and bathroom are separate from the other two bedrooms by a large kitchen and living room, which gives you additional privacy.
Everything was provided (sheets, towels, etc), and if I needed to know where something was, I was able to ask either of his roommates or I just texted Jared and he responded right away.
I would definitely recommend staying here.
