A very fun little tour to get great tips about cool bars. Highly recommend!

Mark was a funny and friendly guide. He took us to two laneway bars and two other bars. The laneway bars were fantastic and ticked all the boxes, the other two bars were average and did not meet the expectation of the tour descriptions

While this was a commercial company, and isn’t as personal as it was made to sound. The experience was incredible. If you’re into cool little bars this is definitely the way to find them and enjoy them. We even got to meet a few owners along the way to which made the experience that much more special. This was a great experience overall, and I'm very glad I joined this tour. We were about 10 people from around the world, with varying experiences. Although it was slightly awkward at first, our guide Catelyn was amazing and got us all chatting eventually. Something that contributed to the awkwardness was the first venue - it was a tiny distillery that was able to fit our group and no one else. This tour was part of Walks101 and gives a good insider perspective on bars off the beaten path. Zak (or was it Max?) gave a great tour!

This is a really good way to find tucked away bars, but don’t expect to find many truly secret bars - we went to one that was hidden but it was the worst of the bunch. It’s also a great way to meet some new people if that’s your thing. Definitely worth the time but don’t expect to be inside the local scene.

I have just moved to Melbourne from Sydney so great to get out and see some places to socialise. I did enjoy meeting people although there was a big group of People who knew each other and were a lot younger than me, so it was hard to connect with them. A fantastic arfternoon dscovering the coolest bars in Melbourne. I've lived here all my life and didn't know of their existence!! John was a really fab n friendly giude and our group, most of whom had never met each other, departed as firm frieds. Bonus.
