My name is Maria, I am from Barcelona but nowadays I live in Amsterdam. I hope you will enjoy my places to stay!
Best wishes :)
I booked this place for my parents. They were planning to visit Barcelona first time as a gift, and I wanted to make sure everything goes smoothly since they did not speak fluent English nor any Spanish. Because I was not going to go with them, I double checked the location, wrote down the direction, and double confirmed it based on (website hidden) map and street view.
But everything went worst possible:
First, the house is not by Maria Navarrete. I am assuming she is just a broker, and has never been to the apartment, nor knows the owner personally. I had to pay cash to the owner separately after paying airbnb the "introduction fee" that Maria provided.
Second, the address on the airbnb was wrong. My parents had to wait in front of the written address for two hours while I tried to figure out where the new address is, and ended up taking cap.
Third, the contact information is to Maria Navarrete, not the owner of the house, resulting significant delay on contacting. And because of mis-communication, Maria Navarrete did not explain the owner thoroughly, the owner kept asking for security deposit, when I clearly paid it to airbnb.
Fourth, the apartment was dirty. No, I didnt stay at the place, but according to my parents words, they discovered what seems like bed bugs in the morning.
I will never recommend this place to anybody, and am planning to alert airbnb about these misleading information, and what I believe is not allowed.
