I am Juliet. I am a native New Yorker.
I work as a skin care therapist.
This apartment was pretty much exactly as advertised; although there is a couch in the living room now that's not in the photos, which was nice. The unit, itself, is more than a crash pad, but don't expect to cook big dinners at night (who cooks when visiting NYC?).
The building was exactly what you'd expect from a pre-war building. Don't be scared off by the bathtub in the kitchen, it's not even a little weird. The location is great, we walked to Central Park, the Met, Rock Center, and there's plenty of good food nearby too. Biggest drawback is that it's a 4th floor walk up, so carrying your stuff for check-in and check-out is a bit of a chore. It wasn't a problem for us, but I know it is for others.
Juliet was great! Key pickup was quick and easy, she was responsive to questions, and she even provided a solution for storing our luggage on the last day of our trip. We couldn't have asked for a better experience; we had an amazing trip.
Great place to stay!
Juliet was the perfect host who maintained contact to ensure we were settled & happy! Apartment was perhaps a little older then we expected & the stairs a bit of a challenge (ie: for luggage) however we loved the Upper East Side neighbourhood and our overall 10 day NYC experience. Just wonderful. thank you Juliet!
This was my second time staying at Juliet's place, and it was just as cozy and comfortable as the first time! A nice improvement is the addition of a very comfortable sofa in the main living area. The apartment is warm when the weather is cold, and there is always plenty of hot water. Juliet is a terrific communicator, always available for questions or concerns, and gives clear directions for key pickup. The apartment is in a great neighborhood with grocery store, pizzeria, Starbucks, and many great places to eat within a few blocks. It is an easy walk to the subway and Central Park. I highly recommend this listing, a great place at a great price, and I look forward to a third visit soon!
My second stay with Juliet was just as good as the first! Highly recommended! Thanks again Juliet
I have to start out by saying we had an AMAZING time. NYC is a wonderful place, but that time was partially made possible by our amazing host, Juliet. She kept in touch, made the process very easy for us as far as coordinating times for check in and out. We loved the location, only a 20 minute walk to central park and Timesquare. Beautiful neighborhood with a great pizza place just around the corner, Pizza Park, which my husband was very happy about. Overall we would recommend Juliet and her pied-à-terre to anyone and we plan on going back.
Juliet was a great host and communicated quickly about any questions we had during our stay. Our stay was quiet at this apartment which you don't get in NYC often. We were a couple of blocks from the subway station which was great! Thank you for a true New York experience! We had a blast.
Juliet's apartment is in a great location - a short walk to transportation that gets you anywhere you need to be in the city. A perfect base for exploring and then coming back to relax after the NY bustle. It is a cozy spot and has everything you need to recharge. We did not meet her in person but Juliet was quick to respond to our questions and easy to communicate with. Check-in/check-out was smooth and convenient. We had a great experience!
Our time a Juliette's was fun. She was very attentive and took care of any needs we had quickly. She was in communication, constantly.
As far as the building, it's old and charming. There was some construction going on during the week in the alley during week days but nothing that was over the top. One day we had no cold water in the morning but we just moved quickly, we're campers so it was no big deaL AT ALL! We are pretty low key so it was is no bother to us and It was of no fault of Juliette's.
Over all we had a great experience. The apartment is not the Ritz but if you're looking for comfort and affordability in the city, this is your spot and I'd recommend staying here. Juliette is a great host, she's attentive to your needs, the price is right, it's in a great location. Restaurants, bars (The Honkey Tonk), grocery stores, drug stores and subways are all very close. Enjoy your stay!!
