Born in Texas and bred in Louisiana, I now live in Los Angeles as a restauranteur. I love to travel, especially to islands and other beach destinations
Host and area were great.
Superb location, very comfortable, lovely deck area, pleasant and clean. Limited cooking facilities but we aren't chefs and we did successfully cook breakfast and dinner. Overall really good.
We loved this location. We saw a hummingbird in the back yard and a coyote walking up the street. Pretty good nature given we were in LA. We walked to the Hollywood sign, too, which was great. We also walked to Warner Brothers Studio and to Universal Studios. These walks took over an hour, but they’re through the Hollywood Hills, so they’re very scenic. LA is not set up for foot traffic, however, and the path ran out just before Universal Studios which took us by surprise. We had to them loop across a freeway (added another ten minutes) but were still able to make it. Being able to walk to the theme parks with the kids was a good re-set each morning after all the stimulation! Both studios are fanstastic. Don’t think about walking back tho – it’s all uphill. The apartment itself is amazing. We slept really well in the large comfortable beds. And the kids loved the electronic drum kit. Only down side is the kitchen which is small and which takes a bit of moving of stuff around to cook (we didn’t turn on the BBQ – which is available). But once you’re done, eating out of the deck under the Hollywood sign is awesome.
We really had a wonderful time in Paula's villa in Malibu. location is perfect : close to the Zuma beach, close enough to Pacific highway 1 and on top of a hill with surroundings. Large garden with lots of space for bbq or lunch outside. The house is functional with large living room and kitchen equipped. It' a typical 1950's house with vintage feel.
We spent 10 days and felt home immediately.
We also enjoyed the great pool.
Paula was really a great host. She lives in the house nearby and was always helpful when needed.
I recommend Paula's house to anybody who wants to discover Malibu.
Lovely place in a great area. Paula's family was on hand to help and was a fantastic trip.
Really great place! Beatifull balcony overlooking the valley, where we had a lovely bbq with friends & family. The house is a guest quarter shared with Eva, who was very welcoming and made our stay great!
Great location and nice view! Palau and Eva are so nice! We really enjoyed our stay in Hollywood!
My family have very nice holiday in Paula's house. Location is and decoration is amazing. Paula is very kind and easy to communication.
Paula was a gracious and flexible hostess. Her house was as pictured: very quaint with historic decor, spacious rooms and lovely views. It has everything you need to enjoy a home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, with quality linens and fluffy pillows. The kitchen was well-stocked and organized. We were somewhat surprised to see in the house manual – available only after booking – that the pool hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., but Paula was kind enough to allow us to swim at night, something we like to do at our own home during hot California summers. It should be noted that the pool is located across the driveway at Paula’s house, not at the Airbnb rental house, so if you are at all uncomfortable swimming in what basically feels like “the neighbor’s pool,” then this might not be for you. But we found the pool to be very clean and incredibly refreshing on a very hot weekend.
Another note: you can not walk or bike out of this property safely due to a large construction project on the highway at the bottom of the street, so plan on driving if you want to go anywhere.
My families and I had really great stay here. I like the terrace very much, and I had a small birthday party in the terrace. It was unforgettable.
