The bio: I'm originally from a small town near Tahoe. I got my BA in Japanese and Dramatic Arts from UCSB way back in 2004, and I'm currently working towards my MFA in Interactive Design at AAU in San Francisco. Currently working as a bartender to pay the bills while I build my portfolio. Looking forward to my upcoming exit from the service industry.
I speak Japanese & Spanish, and dabble in a few other languages (Korean, Portuguese, ASL).
I'd rather play board games, make art or read a great book than go get drunk these days, although I'll admit I still enjoy being a social butterfly when the urge strikes me.
I'm not "normal" or "regular" and kind of don't understand why so many people choose to describe themselves that way. I'm special, unique, interesting, fun, creative, playful, and pretty ridiculous sometimes. That said, I'm really easy-going so I'm sure we'll get along.
I love contemporary art, especially graffiti, enjoy working with claymation, textiles, digital art, photography, making music, and sharing inspiration with other creative types. I'm currently building a website that will use interactive maps to highlight awesome local murals and graffiti in SF, and my MFA thesis project is an interactive iPad application that creates music and visuals for performance artists.
