Sarah is a brilliant host applying amazing details as to access to the studio and brilliant communication. The studio is modestly furnished but is spotlessly clean and the security to the building is fantastic. Our trip to Paris was short and we needed to get a lot into our days so the position in Le Marais was perfect.
All 1st class. We missed our connection from London, so we're very late in. On top of that the communication technology was letting us down. All that aside, Sarah was great and we sorted our issues quickly. The flat is compact but ideal for 2 and is in a quiet location. We really enjoyed our stay.
Great location, cute but small place suitable for a quick visit to Paris.
Close to lots of good things. Merci!
Sarah provided us well in advance with detailed instructions on the entire process. The neighborhood was perfectly located in the Marais area. We felt completely safe here and would love to stay here again.
Really quiet, with small balcony overlooking a private courtyard with fountain.
We had a wonderful stay at Sarah and Maggie's studio. The studio itself was very clean, comfortable, and larger than it appeared in the photos. The balcony was a great place to hang out with a glass of wine after a long day of exploring Paris. Maggie greeted us when we arrived and was very welcoming and friendly. The neighborhood was perfect; the building itself was situated on a very quiet street, but it was only a few blocks away from a very lively area in Le Marais with a lot of cafes, restaurants, and bars. One thing to note: the studio is close to a number of Metro stations, but the station that is the most convenient for traveling to the major tourist attraction attractions (Hotel de Ville, on Line 1) is about a 10 minute walk away. Overall, we would definitely recommend staying at Sarah and Maggie's place.
The apartment overall is OK, but I have to be honest, we were disappointed and felt the listing did not reflect what we received. Some examples include the below:
- A/C: this listing should not include this as it is not a real A/C, it is a portable that you need to refill with an ice pack, once the ice pack is finished so is the air conditioning experience. Would be better off buying a fan.
- "Essentials": we were given 2 large towels and 2 small for the entire 5 day stay. Not sure if this is what an essentials package looks like, but again, disappointed.
- Host: I never met the actual host, but dealt with Maggie, who is a vey nice person, but unfortunately during our stay had strangers come view the apartment as they plan on selling. Not only this, but since the apartment was being shown, Maggie organized all of our things (put our clothes back in suitcase, moved things around where we had trouble finding). She did ask us if it was OK if she could go to the apartment but didn't specify till the morning of that people would be coming to apartment. Again, not sure if this is kosher by Airbnb standard but as a couple we felt awkward to tell her no.
The studio was wonderful -nice, clean, and the location is very convenient. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend!
Great location right downtown, beautiful view on a quiet courtyard. Sarah was prompt and gave everything we needed.
