The Gwili Railway is a Welsh heritage railway that operates a standard gauge preserved railway line along a few miles of very scenic track using real steam engines. Run by volunteers it is good value.

If you like riding on steam trains, this is a lovely little trip along the river. There may be an opportunity to stand in the engine room and blow the whistle! The nearest station is located about 25 mins drive away, on the way to Carmarthen.
