Cafe Solo is a great, dedicated breakfast caf, just over 5 minutes walk from here (direction Canterbury) by Morrisons. My favourite restaurant is Olive Grove, offering a really taste mix of African, Italian and Middle-Eastern food at reasonable prices. This is situated centrally in Best Lane. I especially like the restaurant's beautiful, exotic decor and cosy atmosphere. My favourite bakery is a cafe further down towards Westgate, called St Pierre's, French as the name suggests. It does great cakes and what I especially like is their authentic family feel and takeaway prices - have your cake and eat it(!), perhaps in the park or whilst strolling. The Parrot Inn (Church Lane) is worth a visit
