Easy walk with beautiful views. Drive the 3.6 mile loop for some scenic specials that won’t disappoint. It’s a favorite for a quick walk, time of reflection or to enjoy a beautiful sunset.
Check the schedule so that you can go on the free tour, but be sure to get there AT LEAST 30 minutes before the tour or you won't be able to go.
I absolutely Love, the FREE dam tours they do at the Shasta Dam. It is very interesting, fun, and educational.
Eighth tallest Dam in the United States. Dedicated by JFK, you can take a tour here or just walk across it...it’s absolutely beautiful!
At 602 feet tall Shasta Dam is the 8th tallest dam in the US and creates Shasta Lake.

“The Caverns are hundreds of million years old. The hour-long tour of limestone rock formations is stunning and starts with a catamaran cruise, followed by a bus ride to the mouth of the caverns. Be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes before the two-hour tour. Be ready for the dark and a fair number of stairs. Price: ~$30”

“A little bit of a drive out to Shingletown, but very unique dining experience on a vineyard! It has different owners now and we haven't been there since they exchanged hands, but the atmosphere is really unique and the food is magnificent! It's pricey but perfect for a romantic special occasion.”
