Beautiful scenery, unforgettable views, adventurous trails! A "Wonderland of Rocks" is waiting for you to explore at Chiricahua National Monument. The 8-mile paved scenic drive and 17-miles of day-use hiking trails provide opportunities to discover the beauty, natural sounds, and inhabitants of this 12,025 acre site.

Stunning!!! Described as "A Wonderland of Rocks". Beautiful drive - about 2 hrs from Safford. Stunning scenery when you get there! Amazing rock formations. There is a National Park Shop, for gifts etc... but no food or drink facilities so be sure and take something. Washroom facilities are by the Shop. Park is open 8.30 - 4.30 daily. Camping grounds - but apparently you'd need to book far in advance to get your spot - unless you're very lucky and get a cancellation.

Beautiful rock formations, scenic drive, great hiking, wildlife viewing, and birding. The Chiricahua Mountains have animals and birds that are found no where else in the United States.

This is truly a National Monument! Must see, if you can hike.
