About a 20 min drive and well worth a visit if you like history and parkland. Berrington Hall is a neo-classical mansion with grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. There is a lot to look out both in the main house and surrounding buildings. The grounds are vast with lovely walks around the lake. There is a nice cafe for the obligatory coffee and cake!

Very beautiful and interesting 17th century mansion house with painted ceilings and French Regency furniture set within landscaped parkland designed by 'Capability' Brown.
