The building of Lehel market hall was built on the site of the former open marketplace which served District XIII. In addition to abundant fresh fruit and vegetables, you can buy herbs and one of the best lángos in Budapest, everyone's favourite fried-dough snack. You'll find small-batch producers selling everything from lemongrass to mint and honey in the lower mid-section of the hall. The upper storey is somewhat messier, stocking a wide variety of goods from pet food to household accessories-.

This is the best place to buy fresh food. There are many stalls here ranging from fruit&veg to meat, cheese and bakeries.

A traditional Budapest market. Many farmers bring their own vegetables and fruits here to sell, but you can find but you can also find original hungarian meat dishes and dairy products too.

Closest fresh food market with lost of small private farmers. Asian shops, big store, cheacp chinese clothing and houshold shops are on the second floor. Post office, bank, farmacy, paper shop, tobaco-, flower-, souvenir shop also available. Cheap eateries are on the southern entrance and on the top floor as well.

Lehel Market is the place where locals buy fresh meat and vegetables. You’ll find small producers selling everything from lemongrass through mint to honey variations in the lower mid-section of the hall. If you get hungry you can buy here 'langos' and other traditional Hungarian meals at an affordable price.
