Parks & Nature
spectacular beach with amazing shells and often crysal clear blue waters that look like the Caribbean if you get there at the right time. Have found complete conch shells about 10" long just reaching down to what you're walking on. Faces 90 degrees away from Atlantic Beach, so the waves are completely different. Fun boat ride to get out there and take the free lighthouse museum tour, spend the day on the beach.

Very private, and only a couple minutes from civilization across the water from Beaufort. Long walks on the beach. Completely undeveloped, no facilities of any type here. Completely primitive.

like the name implies, you are outside on the dock about 10 feet away from some of the nicest yachts on the East Coast. Enjoy live music, pleasant breezes, drinks and food, and tons of people watching.

Iconic Morehead City waterfront restaurant, usually a great seafood lunch or dinner. Save room for the strawberry hot fudge brownie sundae. We've gone there just to get that sometimes.

great place to board your dog or other pet. The dogs get to swim in kiddie pools and have a blast outside and in. Webcams let you check on your dog. You can chick him out for the day to swim at the beach and bring him back, and they'll clean him up for you. They are great!

MUCH better quality of EVERYTHING for a grocery store than Food Lion. Produce is excellent and great desserts. Food Lion, not. They do grocery delivery and online ordering. Worth driving and extra 7-8 mins for better food quality.
