Path along the Golte
The Golte Regional Park offers many opportunities for hiking and walks that will fill your mind with energy and make your body feel pleasantly tired. Temperatures are generally 10 degrees lower than in the valley, so the air temperature will refresh you in the summer months. Hiking is mostly carried out on undemanding paths and is therefore suitable for families, elderly and pets. There are a lot of different routes for you, with hikes lasting from 1 to 5 hours. This way you will be able to choose the most suitable one for your abilities and time.
For families and the elderly, we recommend one of the circular paths along the Golte regional park or a visit to the highest peak, Boskovec 1,588 m.
Along the way, you can also refresh and replenish yourself at the hotel Golte, at Trije Ploti, koča Pr Žlajferju or at the Mozirska koča. Before leaving, check the weather conditions and forecast.

Nice half hour hike to mount Smrekovec (1577m) from mountain hut Dom na Smrekovcu or 2 hours hike from our farm to mount Smrekovec. From Dom na Smrekovcu you can hike also to mount Komen (1684m), approx 2 hours of hike.

Mozirje which is more than 30 years known as one of the most beautiful parks in this part of Europe – Mozirski gaj – the Slovenian gardeners’ park. It is situated on the right bank of the Savinja river and covers the area of 7 hectares. For visitors it is open from the middle of April to the end of September when millions of blossoms can be seen on the carefully well-kept flowerbeds.
In spring the bulb-flowers are the first to show their gaily- coloured blossoms, enriched by perennials and shrubs, but in summer thousands and thousands one-year flowers are flourished.

It displays the history of forestry and carpentry in the Upper Savinja Valley, a mostly wooded region fairly closed to traffic. Forests dictated a unique economic development of this area and had a decisive effect on the lives of local inhabitants.
