I don't think I've had a single dish here that wasn't tasty...! I also really love the atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. This is my go-to sushi spot.

One of the closest breakfast/brunch restaurants to our home, Jeffrey's has traditional menu options but really great food and service. If you can make it on a non-busy day, the seating in back next to the "hillside" view can be quite pleasant. :)

I love this place for having the option for floor seating and, of course, their great food! I can't get enough of their crispy crab wontons and am happy with the price and food portions.

A little over 10 minutes away, Rosso's has delicious Italian food (and also the best fried chicken!) Include the fact that it's a great place to grab a drink with friends as well as sample some wine, Rosso's has it going on.

One of my favorite places to eat with a group of friends. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes here. They also offer drink specials and homemade sangria! And for dessert.. two words: mango cheesecake!!

First off, Sebastopol is a unique place to visit (so do go if you get a chance) and HopMonk is by far my favorite place to go around here for dancing. They host a variety of artists and bands, so I would check their calendar to see what the next show is. Besides the live show area, HopMonk also has great food and a bar in their restaurant section. Friends and I also really enjoy their outdoor area!

This place has so much to offer (for adults and kids alike) and all under under one roof! Epicenter is huge and features a sports bar and restaurant, a trampoline park, laser tag, arcade, as well as a Sports City and Anytime Fitness. Definitely fun for a family or a group!

This place is great for families, offering plenty of things to explore no matter your age. The man-made tide pool is fun to check out as well as seeing the different animals. It's right next to the park, too, so perfect place to visit on a nice day.

If you love animals, Safari West is worth checking out! They have a great walking tour as well as a jeep tour, where you can see many of the different animals across the 400 acre, nature preserved property.

HUGE, old growth redwood trees!!! Absolute magic... so peaceful, majestic, and serene. Many of the trees are over a thousand years old! There are picnic areas, some great hiking trails and some easy walks in the woods. Check it out! But note: it can get a little chilly under all those trees, so be sure to wear layers. ;)

2080 Kawana TerraceThis park is great if you want to get out in nature while still being close to downtown Santa Rosa. Friends and I usually go here to play disc golf as they have a pretty great course! It's also a wonderful spot to check out some spectacular views of Sonoma County.
This expansive park is only 10 minutes from our home and has so much to offer, including trails for hiking and mountain biking, and lakes for fishing. I still have yet to explore all this state park has to offer!

Grove of Old Trees is a lovely and peaceful nature preserve in Sonoma County. It has easy hikes that meander through old growth and second growth redwood trees. There are also picnic tables in a few areas. For its smaller size, it's still one of my favorite places (and usually much less crowded than Armstrong Woods).

If you adore Snoopy and the whole Peanuts gang like I do, you must check out the Charles M. Schulz Museum! You really get to know the incredible man behind the cartoon strip, all while being in his hometown of Santa Rosa. In fact, you may find sculptures of Peanuts characters around town in commemoration of Schultz. ;)

He also left a lasting impact on Sonoma County, and the world at large. There's no charge to visit his home and gardens, so it's spectacular checking them out on a self-guided tour.

I just recently discovered this spot but the vibe here is cool and eclectic! It's a bit small but was perfect for a small group of us meeting for coffee and a bite. They have an amazing array of baked goods as well as some yummy breakfast sandwiches.
