Little Lake Trail - access from Main Road. This 1.6 mile trail - for hiking, walking, trail running, and nature trips. See Little Lake (the island's only inland lake) on one side, and Lake Michigan on the other! Beautiful!

This is a park you could kayak to from the cottage. Located to the right (west) along the shore. Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic once you get there!

Hog Island is a wildlife sanctuary. It’s a nesting ground for the water birds we enjoy watching from the cottage. Humans can look but not go onto the island. On a calm day many of our guests have kayaked there. Please be careful…the lake conditions often change significantly since the depth changes dramatically as you head toward the far side of Hog Island. Please refer to the article in the Welcome Folder about the man and small son who needed to be rescued by the Coast Guard because of the sudden change in conditions. Life vests, whistles and cell phones (in waterproof cases) are recommended safety equipment.
