There are not a lot of great restaurants in this area. But here are the restaurants we love and frequent.
Only 10 minutes away by car, the restaurant at the Golf Course serves great burgers and omelettes, and decent sandwiches and entrees when you don't want to cook. They also have multiple televisions if you want to watch a sporting event. They also have a full bar.

Has the best pizza in the area in our humble opinion. It is a 15 - 20 minute drive from the house down Hwy 88 (West) in Pine Grove. Don’t expect fancy options just really great crust and tasty toppings.

A great little place to eat lunch or dinner when you are near Silver Lake in the Sierra's. It is only open during the summer months.

We stop here every time we drive up from the Bay Area. Located just outside of Stockton on Hwy 88. Delicious fresh produce from their farm. They always recommend their tastiest latest offering. And they have fresh pie!

Amador County has many, many delicious undiscovered wineries that specialize in Zinfandel and Barbera and many many others. The wineries are accessible, casual and friendly. Start at this link to start your visit. Located in the Shenandoah Valley about 35 minutes from the house.

There are upwards of 50 wineries in the Shenandoah Valley region that are gaining recognition for their exceptional wines. The area is particularly known for the Zinfandel & Barbera varietals. The wineries are low key, approachable and friendly. Well worth a visit! Here are some of our favorites.
