Food Scene
Very conveniently situated at the end of the road is simply one of the best bakeries I have ever encountered. Excellent variety of sourdough loaves baked daily, together with awesome focaccia and ciabatta. The sausage rolls are ridiculously good, and the sweet pastries are delicious. They also make ciabatta sandwiches – generally there are 4 fillings on offer, changing daily. There is limited seating in and outside.
The perfect start to your day would be a trip to The Pantry to pick up breakfast, then pop over the level crossing to Black Crow for coffee, and it will still be hot by the time you get home.

One of the best pizza restaurants anywhere! Lovely staff, handmade sourdough pizzas. Go here instead of Pizza Express or Ask Italian, which are both within a stone’s throw.

Location, location, location! This place has a decent menu, reasonably priced, but its main virtue is the fact that you are sitting on the beach. Drive down to Worthing seafront west of the pier to park then walk westwards along the promenade for 30 minutes or so. A lovely destination when you fancy a bit of fresh air and stretching your legs.
