Walking distance at the north side. A great place to get coffee, eat breakfast on the go, lunch, or even dinner. Lots of food items, souvenirs, snacks and drinks.

Safeway is close by for your grocery needs in the Kauai Village Shopping Center in Kapa'a. There is a Starbucks and many spots to eat and shop. Old Kapa'a town has loads of local shops to browse and get a feel for the local culture.

Sightseeing
Kapa'a is centrally located and has many things to do right near the house and in Kapa'a Town. I recommend you plan to visit different parts of the island on different days and leave early. Drive to the North shore one day, stopping at all the sightseeing places along the way. Then you will want to visit the South Shore where Historic Koloa Town is and Poipu Beach Park. Pack a lunch and enjoy the beach for the day. There is an ocean pool, a place to surf and a boogie boarding beach. All free parking too! Then you have the West Side of the island where you may visit Waimea Canyon and Koke'e State Park. Beautiful views and elevation, a cooler mountain paradise in the tropics.

Spend a day with a guided tour down the Wailua River then a brisk hike to Secret Falls. When you get there you can swim and take pictures in the waterfall, the water is cold but very refreshing! The guided tour may provide lunch. Make sure you have good "hiking" shoes/sandals (they will get wet) comfortable quick-dry clothes and a bathing suit under your clothes. Light towel, water, and bug repellent should be all you need for fun and a unique experience.
