Their menu is fresh and interesting with local ingredients. Known for their gourmet burgers & large selection of unique beers on tap. Go early for their boozy brunch or expect to put your name in and walk around town for an hour + wait. They don't take reservations unless you are a party of 6+ but we always call ahead to check on the wait time. The environment is open kitchen with a large bar so at peak hours it can be loud. There is also seating on the deck.

While you are in town, drive or walk along Broadway, and Broad Streets to see amazing residential architecture in "the rose of Connecticut". If you are an architecture buff you really should take the time for a walk or you will be dangerous behind the wheel - agape at the truly incredible homes.

There is a small public parking lot at the park’s entrance. State-owned.
Pachaug State Forest is the largest State Forest in Connecticut encompassing 24,000 acres, in 5 towns. There are two areas, the Chapman Area and the Green Falls Area. Come explore the many miles of roads and trails available for the hiker, snowmobiler, motorcyclist, and equestrian at Pachaug State Forest. Look up each area before you go to determine where you should park (remember it covers 5 towns). We have friends who love to take their motorcycles up there and stop for ice cream at Buttonwoods on the way home!

Look up each area before you go to determine where you should park (remember it covers 5 towns). We have friends who love to take their motorcycles up there and stop for ice cream at Buttonwoods on the way home!
The most beautiful curving, sandy beach facing the Atlantic Ocean. Perfect for walking & swimming. Views of the Watch Hill Point Lighthouse. Go early (8-9am) or plan to circle for street parking. This is a free public beach that is less crowded because it requires walking through a parking area, past the yacht club, past the private cottage / cabanas, and over the large dune that separates it from Watch Hill Cove. You are not supposed to park in the lot unless you are shopping at the stores, lot attendants will have you towed. There is another free public beach on the other side of Watch Hill, but parking is just as tricky and it is usually very crowded.

Recently remodeled luxury theatre with big reclining easy chairs. Make sure to plan ahead for rainy days or for new releases - their remodel sacrificed the number of available seats for comfort - so get tickets on Fandango or call ahead.
