Wake up and smell the coffee
Just down the street from the Botanic Gardens and a block away (through the rainforest swamp boardwalk) from Centenary Lake's, is my favourite cafe.
Wonderful staff. Great coffee. When it's hot - I go straight for the acai bowl or a Berry Bang smoothie. Cute outdoor area with a breeze and surrounded by tropical plants.
Collins Ave has so many cafes. This is the local one that isn't trying to be hip and too young or progressive. They're real people, and they treat everyone with kindness. My kind of kind people

We have meal Deal cards available to all guests of JJ's for PJ's - $12 bucks gets you a huge pub meal for dinner until 9pm. Plus a drink! Alcohol or no. It's all good here.
Ask us about their nightly events - ladies night, kareoke (I have been known to make an appearance for both), what time's the best time to go dancing, etc.!

We have meal Deal cards available to all guests of JJ's for PJ's - $12 bucks gets you a huge pub meal for dinner until 9pm. Plus a drink! Alcohol or no. It's all good here.
Ask us about their nightly events - ladies night, kareoke (I have been known to make an appearance for both), what time's the best time to go dancing, etc.!

Use Public buses to go to the beach
Depending on which of the beautiful tropical northern beaches you wish to visit, there are two bus lines available from right across the main road from JJ's.
Pay in cash to the driver - Always get a day ticket (the price of 2x single trips) because there are so many areas to visit in a day!
