Sightseeing

Hosts our annual Christmas Market, featuring massive 50ft Christmas tree. It is the most festive place in Toronto. The Distillery District as it a unique place, home to theatres, galleries, and artists and it is alive with culture. Rustic themed restaurants and architectures, great spot for a photo shooting session! (P.S. make sure to bring your warmest jacket, extra layers, scarf and a pair of mitts! Our winter can get very chilly standing outside for too long!)

You must have heard about how magnificent the CN Tower is if you are the one who planned the trip, so I won't write too much into it. However, if you do plan of going up to see the city of Toronto beneath your feet, I highly recommend booking a late lunch at the CN towers. It allows you to go up by the express line, skipping all the line ups to go in. You can enjoy a light lunch or a long lunch where you can sit through the beautiful sunset and enjoy the city view from day to dark for the same price! after your meal, you may also access the look out area for free!

Neighbourhoods

The Danforth Greek Town is about 5 mins drive from our apartment. If you are a foodie like me and you happen to visit Toronto in the right time, then you must MUST check out the biggest summer event in the Greek Town where all the locals will be that weekend. Come experience the culture and taste the best Greek food at the Taste of Danforth - Usually happens on the second weekend of August. Dress light, bring water, be prepared to walk! You will also find a mini carnival at the end of the street where you can enjoy some rides and games! So be sure to bring your coins!

This neighbourhood is a favourite of Torontonians and tourists alike for some of the hippest places to dine, drink, shop and live. An infusion of superb bistros has created a vibrant restaurant scene known as the place to go for brunch or imaginative cuisine. As for nightlife, Leslieville is full of hidden gems around every corner. Pubs, martini bars and clubs provide you with many ways to fill your evening.

For all the foodies that are looking for awesome local restaurants.
Famous Maha's Egysian Bruch opens only from 8AM to 5Pm in the weekend. This famous brunch restaurant is only a few minute walk away from our apartment, I highly recommend trying if you can wake up for it. Amazing food and coffee! This restaurant has been opened since 2014 and the line up never stopped. Make sure you go early to skip the line up!

Rare gem hidden in the alleyway, Left Field Brewery is one of Toronto’s big names in local craft brewing, they’ve made a name for themselves by experimenting obsessively with their beers all the while tying in a serious love of baseball. Jays games are big here, every single one shown with full audio to a considerable and loyal crowd, some fans standing for the anthem. Run by husband and wife, the brewery came to occupy its current industrial space in 2015. Signature beer - Eephus oatmeal brown ale ($5/12 ounces), named for a type of baseball pitch intended to catch the batter off guard, and the creaminess of this dark beer does the same to drinkers while still offering malty nuttiness.
