The Ryogoku Kokugikan is the symbol in Ryogoku. It is located in front of Ryogoku Station, only 5 min walk from our hotel. Edo-Tokyo Museum and Sumō Museum is in the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The sumo tournament is 6 times a year. Of these, 3 times, in January, May, and September, are held here, at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. The ticket of sumo is very popular. You can buy it in the convenience store or on the Internet. Of course you can buy the non-reserved seat ticket on the day in the morning there, but they're sold out soon. If you want to see sumo, I recommend to buy the ticket in advance. Also, you can buy the souvenirs like ’Kokugikan Yakitori’, and ’Kakuryoku chocolate’ shaped as a sumo wrestler. You can enjoy shopping there even when the sumo tournament is not held.
